Questions about modding/Making custom cars.

Featured Replies

So I was thinking i'd ask. (Please move this if its in the wrong section, I found this was the best place)

How do you model/Make Custom cars (police cars). Now i know a little bit about technical stuff i'm not a newbie, Just with modeling and stuff.

Can somebody give good/Detailed explication on what you do to make custom models or cars? What programs to use....What you do...I'm pretty sure if you make one, You make a texture, Or is it a model or what.

Just need someone to explain to me what you do and how you make custom cars.

OR if it's too hard for me/Too hard to explain, Anyone who takes requests to make custom cars? I only want to know so i can make some maybe upload them and make low-poly ones/Request them, Or make them to my design of what i like for cars.

Thanks for the link, I'll read through it and see if it helps me enough :D

EDIT 1: I right now did a quick read through it, Tommorow when im more concentrated I'll read the whole entire thing carefully through, Maybe even trying it myself. But i think i need a more "Detailed" tutorial.....This just tells you how to import a model/texture and edit it a little bit, I want to know how to make new ones from stratch right off a stock gta police car and then edit it and add custom lightbars, ELS, Custom look/texture etc.

But if it i'm not up to it I think i'll just find somebody to do it for me, If i can get a good picture of a police car i'd like to see in game :)

Honestly, it's best to start off small by using the tutorial given. Modelling from scratch takes years to be able to do, especially when self taught, and it's not even done in zmodeler. The only reason I know how to model was because I did an engineering course so I have an advantage, however someone like you who I presume has no experience needs to start off learning the basics. Jumping into the deep end is a bad idea.

Okay....I think I'll look through the tutorial a few times, Download zmoddler and test this out myself (Same as done in the tutorial)

Then i can get the hang of Zmoddler.

Also in the tutorial given, He loads the stuff and makes a change to the car.....I don't see the change he made, Honestly i don't see what he really did to the car in the tut XD

Thanks for the suggestions

Before, the extra parts were not connected to the car. What he did was he connected them to the car so it will show the extra parts in game.
