hey guys i know i'm a little behind the power curve on this.. i'm a police officer in NC and was on youtube the other day saw all this cool mod stuff.. well for the past 3 days i've been trying to figure out how to do this... so far...i cant figure out how to get gtaIV file on pc from ps3.. cant figure out how to run spark.. cant figure anything out at all.. i would honestly pay someone to come do it but thats a little hard haha. any help from you guys on how to do this beginning all the way from step number one please! thank you so much!!!

Well... you can't use the PS3 version copy on your PC, and there isn't really a way of porting the files over. Even if you did, it wouldn't run.

You'll have to buy GTA IV for PC.

Before you do that, make sure your computer is powerful enough to run it. It's a very hardware demanding game.

you cannot modify the ps3. you can only use lcpdfr on the PC version of gtaiv. there is no other way to explain it. buy the PC version.

From reading online you can put police pursuit mods on PS3.. i only have a pavillion laptop and not sure if it will support gta iv anyways.. trying to do this ps3 wise.. i understand i wont be able to put lcpdfr on it..

I dont know where you are reading that from... but i have never seen it done nor heard it be done before. Most laptops will not run gtaiv, unless you get a high end laptop.

Well gonna give it a shot now.. i got GTA downloading right as we speak i have a pavilion m6 with intel core i5 processor.. so we will see how it works out.

Installing it is easy as pie, but admittedly a little intimidating at first. Just follow the instructions, it does it all for you Literally as easy as that. And when you get into the game make sure you hit LEFT alt and P to start the game, the right alt doesnt work for whatever reason. That is in my case at least. I also highly recommend bravehearts policing script. And depending on your graphics card, you should be able to run it fine. My laptop runs it with all high settings and I have an A8 AMD quad core processor, and a Radeon 6750HD graphics card.

Ok ill go check out the policing script thank you. i guess the hard part now is just putting all this together into the game..

It's pretty easy installing all this, The LCPDFR installer is automatic you just have to find your GTA directory, Any other scripts you download (.dll, .ini and ASI loaders) Go in scripts, ETC. However modding it to your PS3 is illegal so just stick with it on PC :p.....Also don't just go right off the bat and INSTALL lcpdfr, Run the game test out settings, See if you can run it first without lag. Once you install mods your gonna get more lag and crashing issues. GTA 4 is a pain in the ass because you need a good sustainable computer that can handle its graphics and such and once you install car mods/Lcpdfr its gonna lag more.....Also don't save a car at a save point and then mod your car thats saved.....Thats the shitty error known as SMPA60.

 

As far as installing other stuff usually it has a readme :P You get used to it. Vehicles you can download with GTA vehicle mod installer (Just search it up)

 

 

Pretty much it.

 

and if you do lag, You can get something like contig and defrag your directory to make your game run faster.....You'll find solutions.

How dafuq u do that :P i have a laptop AMD raedon, 6 gigs of RAM Some type of nvidia for my graphics card....Actually similar to what you said, Laptop and i have to run GTA on low after defragging with contig and a commandline.txt to stop lag....Yet and i still lag on low and optimized from all that.....How much did you pay for ur comp or did you build it?
