The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Frame generation, DLSS, FSR, compatible with LSPDFR?

Featured Replies

I searched everywhere and so far, it seems that Rage plugin hook doesn't allow the use of any frame generation mod. I've tried but Rage hook just crashes.

Is there any way to make one work? If yest which one? LSPDFR combined with a few mods/ interiors eats too much FPS.

Try changing the following settings in the lspdfr.ini to help with FPS:

Spoiler

Networking.DisableDiscordRichPresence = true
PoliceStation.DisableAmbientSpawn = true
Frisking.DisableCovid19Items = true
Callouts.DisableBigRadar = true
AmbientSpawn.DisableRandomUnits = true
Main.PreloadAllModels = false
WorldEvents.MaxNumberOfEvents = 0
Ambient.DisableEscapedSuspectEncounter = true

Your core problem was you were having bad FPS. Im giving you a solution relating to LSPDFR to enhance FPS. Instead of using all that third party nonsense.

Well according to your post it sounds like the answer is no, right? If you're referring to NVE, it's not a mod we're able to test with as it's paid. I know they have some sort of RPH/LSPDFR compatibility mod so maybe it's worth looking at.

I understand your Point of view, and if there is a fix that lets me enjoy the game without a third-party app, I will take it.

I tried your method (by the way what does it take away from the game exactly?)  and I gained 2/3 fps at best.

Not enough to have a smooth experience.

I don't have the best PC specs out there but I believe it should handle the game:

Intel Core i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz   3.60 GHz with 64GB RAM
nvidia geforce rtx 2080

GOt it, I was referring to Pure dark's frame generation mod, which is also paid. But apparently, I am not the only one experiencing bad fps while on duty, so I was wondering how some YouTubers were able to play the game smoothly, with sometime a bunch of plugins installed.

I also tried with only 2 or 3 plugins but it didn't really help. What else do I have to switch off to make it playable? Without LSPDFR, the game runs smoothly....

Other things that could effect FPS is how many mods you install. The simple truth is that the more you install, the more frame drops you will discover. Do you use outdated plugins? Do you use any 4k vehicles? Anything like that can have a drastic impact on performance as GTA V was built in a very anti-modding way.

So I tried a mix of everything, clean game with only LSPDFR  and nothing else, and it works fine. As soon as I Pile up other callouts/ plugins I start to have lags after 30min of game play and random drop frames in the city.

I understand that the more you add up, the harder it is for my computer. But some of you out there use a dozen plugins, and add interiors, and still make it playable.

No other mods, no scripts, I've tested it with 5REAL, as I have seen players using both succesfully, unfortunately for me having both kills my PC, and makes the game barely playable, so I don't know how they all do it (some have same PC specs as me).

And yes I checked, everything is up to date!

If anyone reads this, after multiple reinstalls (I had other issues) my game works (v3274) smoothly after a couple of tweaks in my Nvidia settings and graphics in game.

I can play for roughly an hour, but I still get a significant fps drop in the city after that.

Using the upscaler with frame generation performs flawlessly with my RTX 4090 in standard GTA V. However, when running it alongside the LSPDFR mod, the results are inconsistent. Sometimes it crashes repeatedly, while other times it runs smoothly for a few hours. So, to directly answer your question—at least for DLSS—the answer is no; it's not entirely stable with LSPDFR.

One suggestion to improve performance, especially if you experience lag after extended playtime, is to increase your system's VRAM allocation. You can do this by navigating to Advanced System Settings in Windows > Performance. Adjusting this setting may help mitigate the performance issues.
