Hey guys I posted this yesterday looking to get some help but unfortunately didnt get any response. This is the last time im posting this just incase nobody can figure it out. Im having a hard time trying to figure out why my game wont load, im at the part where I click storymode with the rage plugin hook. After installing some vehicles specifically "I believe" the 2020 F450 Dually Platinum is whats causing my game to not load. I pretty much drag and drop everything in the open iv that matches the folder that includes the meta's. Any help on how to reverse the progress I made since its a drag and drop. Also would love to get any tips on how to read the log and figure out whats causing it not to load. Thanks in advance!!!

Did you install your vehicles within the mods folder?  If so, rename it to _mods and see if the game launches.

That actually works for some reason but unfortunately all my downloaded cars are gone LOL

Yeah, it disables everything in that folder.  It’s likely whatever you last added is causing the issue.

Unfortunately, I can’t direct you on how to fix it aside from rebuilding your “mods” folder from scratch.  If you have the storage space, you should make a backup of your GTA V directory prior to installing additional mods.  That way if it something goes wrong (which is pretty much guaranteed at some point), you can rollback to the stable folder.

awww man. Can you please tell me what goes inside the mods folder besides the cars?

From my understanding the mods folder contains any changes to models and textures such as clothing, weapons, static objects, and vehicles.  This way the game pulls that data from the folder, leaving the base game data intact.  So when you rename the folder, the game runs off the base data.

Yea looks like everything that I added in the game will be deleted, thats going to do it for me man im not trying to redo everything. Thanks for the help man really appreciate it

Yeah, that’s why it’s suggested you make a backup of your directory before installing new mods.

Personally, I’ll only install one or two mods, then start the game and test it for a good while.  If it seems stable, I’ll copy my directory and label it “Stable” with the date before attempting to add anything else.  Saves a ton of time, especially after spending hours configuring xmls.
