Yea, can't stand Dayz.  Like many here, ARMA2OA is a military tactical sim and should be used as such.  Not a stupid zombie shooter with a bunch of dumb kids running wild like a bunch of punks from Lord of the Fly's.

 

ARMA2 modded up is a pretty cool sim.

Carrying on from what members have stated, here's how you can have truly epic games of ArmA II with some friends;

 

1. Download a CO-OP Insurgency Mission (www.armaholic.com)
2. Download and install JSRS 1.5 - It revamps all sounds in the game and makes them sound absolutely stunning
3. Download and install ZeusAI - Makes the AI much smarter
4. Download and install GL4 - This adds a number of nice little features but my favourite has to be the radio it adds to all vehicles, makes you feel like you're apart of the combat.

Soon as you do all of the above, you'll soon fall in love with the game. Walking through a small desert town with some buddies then having a bullet whiz past your heads as you dive for cover and return fire is something truly spectacular.

I use most of those mods, good list!  Have to give the GL4 a try...haven't seen that one.  Might have to do some ops later tonight.

I play  ARMA2, I played this mod for awhile , and you know something , it just sucks, there is no strategy, no planning, no nothing, just kill,kill,kill.

 

Original game is just awesome , it has strategey, planning etc, DayZ fu**ed up the game.

 

And i tell you something, ARMA2 was the best war simulator ever, just had everything it should have!

 

I am ,f course, waiting for  ARMA3... (and GTA V!!!)

so, since most of you that commented, play arma2 do any of you use the ACE mod? asking, because i started out playing arma2oa with the ace mod and will always be a fan. But i havent been able to find anyone to get online and play some missions with

I play a lot of arma 2 just gets hard finding a good coop server seems like they are going away fast as for day z played 3 times haven't found anything only had my base kit and was killed by another player 3 times so I'm done with it
