RPH not loading plugins, claiming they contain viruses

Featured Replies

I just finished updating my game and everything needed for LSPDFR and such to work properly, and upon launching the game I found that RPH won't load any of my plugins anymore (including LSPDFR), claiming they contain viruses. This does NOT appear to be related to the antivirus false-positive issues that normally affect RPH after title updates, as my firewall has been OFF the whole time. Please see my RPH log below for more info, and hopefully someone else knows why this has happened to me.

Hello, yes, this is the result of the false positive detection. See the message boxes around the site or on the LSPDFR download page for more information.

Thank you for responding, however my firewall has been off since before the title update even happened. I have no other anti-virus software active, so I'm confused as to why RPH is tagging reputable plugins as containing viruses. RPH isn't crashing, and the game loads and works fine, just not the plugins. I really don't think it's related to the false-positives.

Firewall wouldn't be causing this, anti-virus would. RPH isn't tagging anything as containing viruses, it's trying to load files and the WIndows API is returning the AV message as the failure reason. This suggests there is still an anti-virus running somewhere.

My apologies, I didn't realize that Windows now has a separate Virus & Threat Protection app, as opposed to old, firewall only system. I have disabled the new antivirus app, so hopefully that'll be the end of it.

Yep, that fixed it.
