Hello!! I just got my new Acer computer monitor that is 1920x1080p and when i play GTA IV it goes down to 800x600p.

PC Specs:

Intel i7-3770

8GB Ram

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 3GB

64-bit

Windows 8

If you have a commandline make sure you don't have "Resolution 800X600" in it.

You mean in game? If your talking about in game, it doesn't let me put up my resolution.

Where is the command line?

make sure you download and install drives, then restart your computer. Had this problem when i bought a new monitor as well.

commandline.txt can be located in the ROOT GTA IV directory, but if you don't know what it is, I doubt you have it as it is not there by default, but I recommend you downlaod drives for you monitor and make sure you are using the latest NVIDIA drivers.

What drives do you recommend? 

 

 

I downloaded the latest driver for my GPU and it didn't do anything.

I had this problem, too. I did re-install of the game. It has fixed this problem.
