Does anyone know how to fix this lighting glitch?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, I'm very new to modding and I am wondering how can I fix this lighting glitch, so far I have only seen it on taxis. I also have ELS installed. Hope you guys can help me out.

You could try going to mods/update/update.rpf/common/data and opening the visualsettings.dat file and changing the following to reflect below:
car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on 1700.00
car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on 1100.00

Help us to help you!

I tried that out and followed the installation, but it crashed my game; after I verified the files and reloaded the game, I still had the same problem.

I don't think it's a model thing but a lighting thing. I have had specific modes of my ELS lightbar on some of my cop cars be bright like this coming out of their siren lights. I'll still try it out to see if it is fixed. Thx.

I know it is not a model thing, but you said you only saw it on taxis.

Also what @UnknownBastion said should work.

Try this:

1100 is still considered a high value. If you want to decrease the lighting intensity, you should try 500 below instead.
