Restart your computer and if it happens again just follow the instructions on the screen.

"If problems continue, disable or remove any new hardware or software"

This happened to me the other week and it turned out to be a faulty program, I deleted it and I haven't got this screen again.

EDIT: My bad, I had a different screen, mine was to do with Software.

Do what Sniper said.

"This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred."

This could be one of many things:

Failing hardware

Overheating

Weak PSU

Bad overclock

Loose wire

Out of date BIOS

Out of date drivers

The first things to try are make sure your PSU wattage is sufficient, make sure the components are not overheating, updating your drivers & BIOS (HP so chances are the latest BIOS is ancient), reset your BIOS (HP so chances are it is neutered anyway).

You are using the WRONG right theme!

Flashing LED lightbar in British configuration

someone may correct me if im wrong, but i believe a disc comes with the computer to reset internal hardware.... What this helps with is when you get this so called "blue Screen" and also so called "crashes" if you read the last couple lines of that message it tells you about what you PC is trying to do to avoid total memory loss or TML as some know it. If you have the disc, insert it and follow on screen instructions, i had to do this once and it pretty much resets the entire system, deleteing all files and such. So what i recommend doing is getting an external hardrive and backing up all your files and then doing a entire re-boot of you PC.....Good Luck and hope this helped

i might be reading the bolded part wrong, but If you've added a video card you might be experiencing issues with your HAL.DLL file, which is your Hardware Abstraction Layer. When changing components of your computer, it is critical for you to erase all previous drivers for the piece you're replacing. Not doing so can corrupt your HAL.DLL.

If this is the case, try using your old video card, and boot windows into safety mode with the "last known working configuration"

remove your old video drivers, then install your new video card.
