Playing without updating

Featured Replies

Hey everyone!

So how should I start it? I haven’t played the game about for a year now because of the updates making me remod everything. I used a LauncherByPass thingy, which worked for some time, but that wasn’t a 100% solution either. I know I’m crying about it, but I simply have no time to do the remodding every month or so, and it’s such a hassle. Is there a solution to it? I have the “old” game files on my PC, with every mod, can I somehow put it in a newly downloaded game version? Or (it might sound strange) can I download gta from a website (so it won’t update) and mod that? (To make clear, I have bought the game on several devices, the main reason I bought it on PC is to play LSPDFR, which I can’t really do).

Thank you, in advance!

It really isn't hard to update your mods for the latest version if you set them up correctly in the first place.

I can not play for years, spend <5 minutes to update LSPDFR (+RPH), ScriptHookV (which I only really need for Simple Trainer), and GameConfig.xml, and continue playing with every single mod I've had installed since LMS created LML. Occasionally LML itself might need an update as well.

If you're using the mods folder method it gets more complicated because now you need to worry about updating update.rpf and fixing all the mods that were installed in there and fixing dlclist plus the steps I mentioned above. Then if you installed things into a specific patchday (ew) you need to move them to the latest patchday if the update overwrites it. It's unnecessarily complicated but not impossible.
