Okay, ive been replacing vehivles in gta an i was wondering, since theres only a imited amount of police cars you can replace, do you have to replace the vehicle with the one you download? For Ex: if i wanted to chaneg out my police2 for a different police car and the one i download is police2, do i need to replace it with that one or could i just replace a different model with it? Like polpatriot or would that make it not work? If you dont understand what im saying then ill try and word it different. Thanks!

I think you can, but everything would be kinda fubar as far as the mechanics/physics goes.  You would have to alter the handling, acceleration, etc. to make it work.  I have interchanged police and police1 as they are essentially the same car, but not polpat to a poilice1.

If you mean that you want to change police2 and the one you downloaded is polpatriot then yes, no probs. Just change the name on the one you downloaded to police2.

But as stated by drdetroit you probably want to change the handling lines on it. but try it out first and see if it needs it. Might be you are lucky and it works out fine.

Sometimes I take a car that says noose and change it to police, sometimes it will work, other times the handling might be messed up, and you could wind up flipping your car every time you try to turn it... so a fbi or noose may work on a police slot, but a polpatriot will not work on a fbi slot, but if you know how to edit the handling file, you can tweak it to your liking.

If the car is similar size then yes. I have done that. But backup your handling.dat first. 

Yeah, ive been stupid and didnt back pi my gta iv folders and, now i have to reinstall becaus ei screwed it up. But ive got a question, it doesnt pertain to much to this topic but i dont feel the need to make another. I downloaded a enb series for gta iv for els but it also changes the grpahics on there to. Is there any way i can just make it to where the lights look like they did but the game graphics wont change? Im not sure which file(s) that is to be bale to do that. Any help would be great!
