  • Also, keep running the diag tool, it will evetually work! :)

And what exactly is Not working? What version of dsound loader do you use? Do you have Microsoft Framework Installed?

Dsound seem wrong.. mine has filesize 89.5KB and the AdvancedScriptHook.dll has size 131KB Maybe try to install new ones? Or at least try some others.

Framework : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=9cfb2d51-5ff4-4491-b0e5-b386f32c0992

Describe your problem, or we can't help you. And please provide a diagnostic report from the tool you can find in the download section.

Do exactly what jacob said, otherwise it's kinda impossible. Link to the tool: http://www.lcpdfr.com/cops/forum/index.php/files/file/2-g17-media-iv-diagnostics-tool-043/

The problem is that when I start the game, get an error message appear:

EFCreater exception in module DSOUND.dll that 000116c5. Can not CreateFile "C: / Program Filser (x86) / rockstar games / Grand Theft Auto IV / asilog.txt. No access." But when I take away Dsound (89.5 kb) and replaces it with a Dsound of 359kb, when the game works until Lødingen done. I see Nico, but then it becomes black screen and play close.

And the files Dsound file size 89.5KB and the AdvancedScriptHook.dll size 131KB is correct. And the Framework is the file that is in the link.

I try to run the program you're talking about, but it does not work. Added a picture to show. It is in Norwegian, but it means that the program does not work.

Can look like you're struggling with your Windows .. version do you have?

And have you put GTAIV folder as Read-only (readonly?) And remember checking the GTA Launcher.exe file for the Run as Administrator (Run as administrator)?

Do you have Windows 7, it may be that UAC is blocking the program from writing to files .. turn off the User Account Control in Control Panel, or the UAC as it's called if you have English Windows.

did you try xliveless..or right click gtalauncher >run as>tick administrator>type your username and password>click ok

i have trid xliveless too. but hat just rockstar games come up, and when i puch play. it dont start at all. Done the last you sad,

If the GTA IV folder is write protected, i guess you have to Unhook that? So that the folder can be written to.

But with the other dsound.dll, you say that the game loads and crashes when you see nico? Might be a fautly savegame.. try the other dsound, and uncheck the Read Only on the GTA IV folder :)

And User Access Control is under User settings in the Control panel. I've had several problems with this and games trying to access dll files.. It does sometimes block it without the user getting any feedback..

But i have my finger on faulty savegame.. try to create a New fresh savegame.. backup the old ones from the "C:\Users\USERNAME\Local Settings\Rockstar Games\GTA IV "folder. ( windows 7 )

@Firsty

A faulty savegame would come up with 'Load error' and start a new game, I think.

Edited by Jacob

Only when manually loading savegame. Most times is crashes to desktop when autosave is loading when you press start. i fooked my saves while autosave enaged when i played the lcpd mod :-) had to delete all saves.. and start over.. thx RockStar and GFWL. :-)
