I know this has been asked before by me and others but does anyone know of any way to make addon vehicles work as normal police vehicles?

Ive got them to spawn in traffic with cops etc ive added the flags to vehicles and ensured its type and all that is vc emergency etc the addon im using is specifically for police vehicles

 

all addon vehicles will blip a car you want pulling over but wont actually pull them over, ai traffic also do not recognize the sirens so wont move out of the way like the usually do when in a normal vehicle in a regular police slot like sheriff2 or police4 etc

 

Its not a dealbreaker, Im fully cool with the idea that this isnt something that can be solved, but thought its worth an ask anyway in case Ive maybe missed something

To make addon vehicles replacement you have to find the vehicle files in the DLC folder that you download, then just copy them somewhere where you can rename them. And then just rename them to the ones you want to replace. And then rename the ELS file for that vehicle as well. After that just drag and drop the files just like you would when downloading replacement cars.

Also addon vehicles should function as cop cars too, but idk about that issue, sorry.

I'll do that for a few of them, your advice is helpful dont be sorry, I'm sure the pulling folks over function has always been for normal police slot vehicles anyway so Im 90% sure theres no solution to that one anyway

Idk but I am able to pull people over with addon vehicles, really not sure about that. And I forgot to mention that when you change addon cars to replacement, some of them might be a little glitchy texture-wise, so not all DLC vehicles will work. Not sure why but that mostly happens to me with reflective vehicles.
