Bringing LCPDFR/GTA iv to mac

Featured Replies

I have a mac and I really wish I could play lcpdfr on it but I can not install it. Anyone wanna help me out with it maybe try to make a version for mac because i can get GTA to work on it and don't really want to buy a pc just to play this.

Macs canniot run .exe's, so GTAIV nor LCPDFR will work.

It is not a big hassle to do at all, it is the same thing as reinstalling Windows. Asking people here to "make" one is absurd, I think contacting Apple with your ideas would be more appropriate, even though the chances of them listening is slim to none,

As far as I'm aware, you need to install windows 7 on Bootcamp; http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/getstarted/

yes but that is a big hassle to do i would love to see a version made for mac if you know what i mean

How is setting up a partition a big hassle? It can be done in less than ten minutes depending on the speed of your machine. I'm currently on a Mac with a Windows 7 Partition and I see no issues to doing so and it's pretty damn idiot proof.

This question has been answered over a hundred times, the only time you will ever see LCPD:FR working on a Mac OSX, is if:

A). You partition your drive with a copy of Windows 7 and install LCPD:FR on that game copy (as I did and as Harper stated).

B). If GTA IV was ported over to Mac, which at this point is up to Rock Star Games, not up to us, LCPD:FR is not stand alone and REQUIRES GTA IV to play, hence it's a modification for the game.

C). Even if G17 Media would attempt or any one else attempt to port over the game, the game files are copyrighted and Rock Star would pretty much shut that down very swiftly.

Since this question has been answered so much and Harper kindly enough already gave you an answer as to what you need to do I see really no reason to keep this topic open. In short LCPD:FR only works on Windows (Hence it's a GTA IV Modification and that game only works on Windows) and the only time you will see GTA IV Working on a Mac, is if Rock Star decides to port the game. Closing topic.

Nothing to see here!
