Hey Guys,

 

I am pretty new to all this. I found this site after watching some youtube videos. I am interested in installing what is needed to be able to pull cars and respond to calls. I am currently installing GTA IV from Steam. Can anyone point me to the right direction after i complete the installation on what I need to do next to get everything started?

Is your copy of Windows 7 32bit or 64bit?

Or something pretty close to that. You should be able to figure it out once you locate the steam folder

Couple more ... Where would I grab Spark IV? 

 

I also did a test run of the game and I noticed the game play was "jumpy" ... I have three monitors so I will try turning off the other ones next time but are there any tips for that?

Okay I am almost there.

 

1) Need help figuring out how to load in a police car. 

 

2) How do I start in free mode? Do I need to keep starting the game over? 

 

3) The game video is just not smooth for me. I am fairly certain I have a great graphics and plenty of memory. 

 

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! 

1) You will start your game normally, then when you reach the safehouse, and you go though all the instructions, you just press Alt+P, and head to the nearest police station located on the map.

 

2) Nothing, it will run normally anyways. If you were a cop and you want to do the story line again, just press Alt+P twice, and go along your way.

Try lowering your graphics settings, and be aware of high-poly cars that cause a lot of lagging.

Okay thanks ... So after I start the game ... I drive to the station and press Alt + P ... Then how do I switch cars and start responding to calls and stopping cars? Is there a list of commands anywhere? Last time i drove to the station it started over. 

So ... I press Alt + P and I drive to the station. I get out and walk in but then the game restarts at the beginning again. Any tips on what I may be doing wrong?

You have to go to Roman's house first. You were in a mission, so it won't let you.

Ah gotcha .. Is there anyway to start without being in the mission? 

Nope, I don't believe so. It really isn't that hard, all you do is drive the car to the destination.

Okay I got it. Here are a couple more:

 

1) What are the commands to turn the lights on. I believe its the J key or something but I didn't see any lights on the police car. Only when the siren was on would the lights come on. I could try a different car. The light bar doesn't flash or anything like I have seen in the videos. All I can see is the shadows of the lights but the lightbars appear off.

 

2) How do I change police cars in game?

4) The main issue is the lagging. I have tried all the video settings and can't seem to get anything to change. 

 

Sorry to be asking all of these questions but I cannot find them anyhere else.
