LSPDFR Possibly Compromising the Game

Featured Replies

Hello Developers! I just want to ask you why does the texture in objects such as roads, items, buildings, etc. look compromised/deformed? If there are any solutions please provide to me as soon as possible so I can play the game without having any problems.

LSPDFR does really just two things that can stress the game engine (consult the Wiki for the precise settings to tune):

  • Preloads police vehicle models (you can turn this preloading off, but we wouldn't recommend it).
  • Loads the multiplayer map/MP assets (same as in GTA Online, required for police stations and some other things, you can also turn this off but I would stress that you shouldn't).

However, I don't personally experience any issues as a result of the above, and the vast majority of players don't. If you have an already stressed system, for example, from adding lots of vehicle models or something else, then it could be a thing to put it over the edge and cause texture popping.

tl;dr, probably not LSPDFR, instead probably other mods

Most of community created emergency/service vehicles are 2K, 4K resolution textures (and even higher), and they are full-body UV mapped, this means a high-resolution texture is used to cover the whole exterior body of the vehicle. This stresses your game.

And also, most community created emergency vehicles are often having 100,000 or more polygons (usually around 300,000) - this also stresses your game (vanilla vehicles only has ~20,000 polygons in standard model and lower than ~50,000 on a high-quality model and uses textures up to 512x).

Supporting is somewhat like locating an issue, then trying to apply a protocol that would eventually guide the subject to fix their game, and sometimes, on rare occasions, trying to diagnose a weird issue with everything you know.
