When I try to start up gta Iv it says "GTA IV FATAL ERROR: RMN40" How do I fix that

1. Go into the GTA 4 folder and locate "LaunchGTAIV.exe"
2. Right click and select "Properties"
3. Select the "Compatibility" tab
4. Under "Compatibility mode", click the box to check off "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
5. Drop down the menu and select "Windows 2000"

I did this a few weeks ago and it worked. Let me know if it works for you, good luck!

I did that, but the error went away but it still says gta has stopped working right when I try to open it.

Are you running as an admin?

Okay, Since I downloaded lcpdfr it messed up the game, so I restored it back to when I bought the game, and it works now, I just have to download lcpdfr and hopefully it works..
