Howdy everyone, today I just installed this mod and it worked great. Then the next time I started it up it crashed right after loading. I use xliveless and only xliveless because I like to play at 100% non-legitimate. This is a clean install of GTA 4 I have not installed any mods or scripts other than the ones supplied from the installer. I have installed .net framework 4 and C++ 2010 as well.

Anyone got any ideas what's going on here?

Are you running GTAIV as administrator? Try using dsound.dll as your asi loader.

No, I mean playing story completed at 100% without having to start the game again. I've probably played the campaign a million times. The mod works with dsound, but I can only hang around at Bohan since my save is at "its your call"

Are there any workarounds to this? Why isn't it recommended that I use dsound instead of xliveless? Could I just use an earlier patch and it would work?

What's the best way to remove the mod in case I break something?

I remember there being a uninstall LCPDFR .exe in the GTAIV main directory before but that may not be there any more.

If its not, just delete GTAIV/scripts/LCPDFR and any files called FirstResponse in /scripts

Also in the main GTIV directory, delete AdvancedHook, ScriptHook and dsound. This will completely remove LCPDFR (any text files left won't matter). Though this will also mean no other mods work.

I have just reinstalled gta4 and lcpd 0.91 mod on patch 1.0.7.0 and its saying (exception EFCreateError in modul DSOUND.dll at 000116C5 cannot create file asilog.txt".)

You have to start LaunchGTAIV.exe as an admin. (Right cklick on LaunchGTAIV.exe then choose "run as an Admin...")
