Hey guys,

so Im farily new to modding GTA V but I think I got the basis quite well. Nevertheless I ran into an issue while I tried to install a new standalone police car. I downloaded a raplacement mod for both sheriff vehicles which were included in a pack called "Realistic LSPD Police Car Skins" (not on this website so I wont link it). now I really like the models because they are for BCSO and Id like them to be standalone next to the original sheriff cars and not just replacements. 
So starting with the sheriff replacement I thought why not just rename the included sheriff.ytd to sheriff3.ytd and copy all the other ytds and yfts from the original sheriff stanier. I then tried using an addon car creator tool which seemed only work partly. I could actually spawn a police stanier named "sheriff3" but it looked hella weird and also had no siren whatsoever. the textfiles are pretty messed up it seems for example the addon creator does not create a vehicle.meta or a carvariations.meta. I was trying to find a way to solve this but everytime I think I found the solution it still wont work. my big hope was again to copy all necessary textfiles from the original sheriff stanier but that did not work out as well.. at least I did not manage to get that to work.

What Im tryna say is: how hard is it really to install a standlone (or two) police car that is nothing more than just a retextured version of one that already exists in the game? I cant imagine its so hard but idk what Im missing here. any help and/or further questions are much appreciated!

    "Realistic LSPD Police Car Skins" clearly states that it's a skin pack; which is why it only includes the .ytd or sometimes .png.

    Therefor, you need to find the pack it was created with.

    They're usually linked in the description.
