ELS Question

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a question: this mod:

http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=196

is ELS, yes?

If so, I have heard about a door bug, where the doors act wierdly sometimes when opening or closing.

Is this correct?

If so, does it only happen with modded vehicles?

The mod looks useful, but I do not want unrealistic door opening.

Thanks in advance.

Ah'm orderin' you to STAHP!

It only happens when you enable vehicles with ELS. You can disable vehicles using ELS in the config file (useful if you have non ELS vehicles as well as ELS enabled ones).

And yes, ELS vehicles have that door opening bug. It happens because the car is constantly updated with changing components IIRC.

Thanks.

I'm a bit confused though: If I don't have an ELS enabled car, it'll still work with ELS and I won't have the door bug?

I'm not planning on using modded vehicles.

There are two types of vehicles. ELS and Non-ELS. ELS enables the vehicle to have more realistic lights, however it causes the problem with the doors.

NON-ELS, means that you can have the standard GTA police lights on a modded car, and you won't have any problems with the doors.
