texture problem!

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I got a problem with this mod : http://gtapolicemods...?do=file&id=422

The problem is , that the police cars only with one texture (or skin) appears (and not with the others)

This one (on the Merit ): http://imageshack.us...8/76819098.jpg/

And this one (one the Vapid): http://imageshack.us...1/45193098.jpg/

But why only one texture(skin) appears on the police cars and not the others?

I guess you mean the liveries. You must open the vehicles.edi file and find the vehicle you have modded and add +livery behind the line.

example: ambulance, ambulance, car, AMBULANCE, AMBULAN, VEH@VAN, NULL, 100, 999, 0.2406, 0.2406, 0, 2, 1.5 ,1, noboot+isvan+truckfirefx+ext_strong+livery

(The line is Copied from a post VB3179 posted in another thread)

Hi,

It's because you don't have a correct 'vehicles.ide' file in the gta -> common -> data folder. You can make changes in this file yourself, the way to do this is explained in the 'info' file you downloaded with the mod. You can also download any other mod that contains cars with multiple livery's and use the vehicles.ide file that comes with it. A correct vehicles.ide file is often part of a download for cars with multiple livery's.

I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain ;)

This is a better answer to your question OP. He explained exactly what you need to do. The only other thing you might need to do is remove the "read only" from the vehicle.ide so that you can save it again after you add the +livery. You would right click on vehicle.ide and uncheck the box next to "read only". I wouldn't recommend what the other guy said about copying a included vehicle.ide into your folder. This will overwrite any changes you may have made to other vehicles so I would say just make the individual changes yourself within the file.

What i meant with (Copied from VB3179) is that i copied the line from a post VB3179 had made. I should edit it so it wouldnt be confusing. :-) LoL sorry about that
