Hello I am new to LSPDFR and new to PC gaming. I do not know much about pc gaming so I have been watching alot of Youtube videos. I purchased GTA V from Steam and have played a few story mode missions. I really want to play LSPDFR so I watched a Youtube video on how to get it set up. I followed the Youtube video step by step and downloaded all the things like Rage Plug in, ASI Files, etc. Once I downloaded all of the necessary things to play I loaded Rage Plug in and clicked Save and continue to load LSPDFR. The Rage Plug in began to load and then stayed on that screen and didnt do anything. I am very confused on what to do now. I apologize as I dont know much about PCs I just really want to play LSPDFR.

Yeah man, you're probably all good to go thus far. but R* just released new patch and we have to wait until Script Hook V is updated before any of our plugins will load properly and get you past that screen you're stuck on. I'm in the same boat. It's a waiting game at this point. I'm going crazy cus I wanna play, but I'm playing other things until Script Hook gets updated. Just keep on eye on LSPDFR homepage for the update as they will let us know. Also keep an eye on the scripthook file here: Script Hook V - AB Software Development (dev-c.com) namely the date which it is released. 

So I have to wait until a new patch is released for Rage plug in and wait for a new script hook V update?

Rage has already been updated and its newest version ready for download. There is a link on the LSPDFR homepage for it. So all we gotta wait on for now is Script Hook to be updated. Vanilla LSPDFR doesn't require scripthook to play, but that'll entail removing the plugins you have installed if you wanna play the standard LSPDFR experience.

 

As for the length of time, it can vary. It can take days depending on what the programmer has to actually do to make it compatible with the new GTA version.

Okay so it sounds like I should be good then. I just followed a step by step tutorial on Youtube and downloaded things like script hook, open IV, trainer, etc.

Keep an eye on the website I linked you above. Go to the GTA V section at the top on the site, then select scripthook V. From there it'll show you the release date beside the file. The current version is from February. So when it changes from Feb to March, or whenever the guy updates it, you'll know. Also, LSPDFR homepage keeps us informed. You'll notice on the home page that there's a red square popping up explaining the situation around the update and the availability of files.

I downloaded the new script hook v and launched the rage plug in. Once the rage plug in loads it says waiting for game window and then the rockstar game launcher begins to load and then it crashes. Any suggestions?

ScripthookV just updated a bit ago.  Go to the link that MeltingSteele linked and install it.

I just downloaded the new update to script hook v. Rage Plug in is still crashing. Does anyone have a link to a good step by step youtube video for installing lspdfr.

The longest I've waited for a Scripthook update is about 2 weeks. 

 

RPH is usually updated within a couple days after a R* update.  There is a staff member on this site that updates RPH so that's why that gets updated pretty quick.  Scripthook is updated by Alexander Blade who isn't part of this site and he'll get to it when he gets a chance.  He is most likely busy with work and life so depending how what is going on with him depends on how quickly he can get it updated.  Like with a lot of authors this is a hobby they do and may make a little money doing it but a real job is needed to pay the bills.  Unless you're one of these huge content creators on youtube.  😃
