Will It Work?

Now, this may sound kind of stupid, but I currently have a MacBook Pro from 2009 with a 2.26 GhZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a capable graphics card also running windows through the Parallels virtualization service. Specifically, my PC OS is Windows XP Service Pack 2 (for some reason SP 3 won't download). I was wondering if GTA EFLC and LCPDFR will work on my laptop. Thanks, and sorry if this was a stupid question.

Is the problem that my laptop is not powerful enough, or the fact that its running through a virtualization system? If you think it won't run for the latter, I heard that most PC games run at similar speeds on PCs than at Macs.

EDIT: Also, is it ok that I only have Windows XP Service Pack 2 instead of Service Pack 3? You guys sound like it's ok, but I just want to know explicitly if it's fine.

A laptop - lol'd. A laptop should simply not be used for gaming. A laptop is a working (portable) computer. It's not meant to game. Get a desktop PC, for gaming this time, if you want to play the game.

That is true, only laptops built for the purpose of gaming are any good and even then they are no match for a desktop; my laptop has 2x2.13GHz CPU, 3072MB DDR2 RAM and a GeForce 9200M GPU and can barely run IV.

You are using the WRONG right theme!

I must be sounding pretty idiotic right now, aren't I? I'll go ahead and see if the game works on my computer; if it doesn't, I'll try another computer, but the purchase will not hurt, because it's only around ten bucks. Thanks guys for clarifying a few things. I would use our local desktop PC, but the sad thing is that it is half as powerful as the laptop I"m using right now.

I use my laptop all the time. ;) Even if I do have to play GTA on low settings.
