Possible Solution to Slow System/Insufficient Permissions

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just wanted to share a possible fix that I believe some have stated in random threads, but took me awhile before figuring out.

If you are getting the Rage Error of Slow System or Insufficient Permissions/Bad Anti-virus - give this a shot.

*This is for users who have GeForce Experience and use the in-game overlay. Disable it. Right click the Nvidia Icon in your task tray --> Choose GeForce Experience --> Click the Settings Cog Icon --> Turn off In-Game Overlay (right in the middle of your screen)

This is the only method that worked for me.

I added GTA/RockStar file path, program, etc. in the Allowed Programs/Exceptions.

Verified Game Integrity

Reinstalled GTA V/Rage/LSPDFR more times than I care to admit

Checked Registry Paths to ensure they were pointing correctly to folder

Run as Admin in every way imaginable

Turned off RTP in Defender/configured open firewall (I'm an ISO, dont worry haha)

Ensured it wasn't Razer program or anything weird

Went through and allowed permissions in individual folders

Obviously up-to-date in all

So yeah.... I did my due diligence and then some haha and all that just for it to be disabling in-game overlay in GeForce Experience. I hate technology.

I haven't had a single issue booting it up (it's been 10-11 times since) and playing for over an hour with good frames and no crashes.

But, wanted to make a thread in case others find it useful or helpful. Thanks - GL!

This looks a lot like the official RPH FAQ.

Please, if you take random snippets out of the FAQ, at least give credit.

You didn't come up with that stuff.

What are you on about? If you're going to try and call me out, at least show me proof of what I copied instead of randomly claiming I am plagiarizing work... over a simple guide... that I made to help this community. I did that completely on my own, but appreciate you thinking it was good enough to be an official RPH guide... I knew I was a decent writer, but dang, maybe gave up on it too soon in life it sounds like.

Huge fan of you being a random prick though for no reason. Imagine being that rude and have nothing to back it up. Couldn't be me, kiddo.

No, it legit sounds like you just copied from the official RPH FAQ.

That is all I'm pointing out.

The guide is quite old by now and exists for a reason. Making it into a LCPDFR forum post is just quite sad.

Posting something that I had googled (and didn't show up on RPH guide with google) and spent time working towards this solution and sharing that with others isn't sad at all actually...

What's sad is some goofy German dude felt so miserable in his own life that he had to take the time out of his day to comment something dickhead-ish and unnecessary and then try to backtrack with misinterpretations...

Google irony, little guy.

My Solution to Slow System/Insufficient Permissions

download and install an asi loader (found my fix using the openiv asi loader)

1. Download OpenIV from their website and install

2. Browse for your gta directory folder (folder that holds GTA5.exe)

3. Finish up installation THEN RUN

(here's where the fix is)

4. Enable Edit Mode at the end of the address bar

5. go to the top left and choose tools

6. choose ASI Manager and install the first 2 (last one is optional)

This worked for me. Let me know if it worked for you.
