The TPS Virtual police computer is still in a BETA stage, but I have opened up a public BETA which is open to limited people right now.

The following video shows 3 different uses for the computer database.

1) Searching the Citizen Database for a name from vdH's Police Helper.

2) Making a normal report, with no citizen.

3) Searching the Citizen Database for a name from LCPD:FR database.

I decided to make this database because the MDC one relied a lot on Role Playing, this one relys on Callout's from LCPD:FR or any other program.

this is a browser window that uses an external website within the game right? Does this work without socialclub, steam etc?

say when you file a report on somebody (or a query etc) does the system save all that info in so the next person who checks the same name will get that prior history? id assume thats the whole point of this but i figured id ask anyway

This is just a website, like the MDC, you can access it how ever you want, I choose to use the Steam Overlay. Yes when a report is filed for a person, if their name comes up again, then it will show the details of the report. I do have another video demonstrating this, but I'm a little behind with all my editing right now.

how do we get to test the beta

Right now I only have it open to a few friends, and once they get back to me that there is not many bugs, I will start opening it to more people.

I use the Steam Web-Browser, you can use this even if your game is not from them, there is also X-Fire, but I found that I crashed a little more using them than I did with steam.

So do you have any idea on a release date? Or maybe a beta release?

BETA release could be within a few days for the public, clan members currently have access to the full BETA. Public access is a little restricted.

Awesome! Glad to hear it!

There is a little bit of the Public System that I am setting up before I fully release it. When anyone adds something from the public side, it needs to be verified by an admin before it is added in to the main computer database to prevent spam, and abuse.

Right now I am just working on the Approve/Remove System, anyone who's post is removed for abuse or spam will receive bad reputation, and too much could result in being locked out from the system.

I've decided to put this in place because when you register your name is also added in to the database for the purpose of RP sessions so cops can pull over players and keep tabs on them.

My next project is the Dispatch section, my goal will be to offer training to TPS members to use this system in our games, and offer Clan Leaders a tool to train their own staff on my system, and then allow specific members to access the dispatch system (I will regulate the level of training to a degree to ensure that the system is used properly, not just a clan leader giving dispatch qualifications to anyone who wants it).

Dispatchers will be able to see all of the clan members who are in the Database, and set them to On Duty, or Off Duty, and start reports for individual members, and the ability to manage multiple open reports at once, so that they can update your report for members, freeing up the members to play the game and deal with reports after game, or during downtime.
