OpenIV changes all animals into peds.

Featured Replies

All of the animals have been replaced with people, so I'll find peds curled up in weird animations floating 6 feet from the ground. All of the dogs appear as a Fort Zancudo Army Mechanic. The others I'm not sure how to describe. The only thing I've installed with OpenIV was Realistic Gun Sounds. The only fix is to disable OpenIV entirely. Does anyone have any idea what steps i could take to solve this issue?  I've posted this on the OpenIV website but that was a week and a half ago and I haven't gotten a response. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a mod replaced a ped file. You sure you didn't install anything else?

I'm pretty sure. The only other things I have are trainers, but those don't use OpenIV. Is there any way to figure out where the messed up file is?

OpenIV itself doesn't interfere with the game files whatsoever, it's just a tool for getting inside the game. I had a problem similar to this when I installed an outdated version of World of Variety though, so it must be something you've installed.

Do you have any idea of where I should look? I've tried verifying the files through steam but that hasnt helped. Now That i think about it I did install something called World of Variety, would you have any Idea where to look for that?

World of Variety is the one causing this then, given you said you didn't install many things I'd just delete your mods folder and start over to get rid of it entirely. It might come with an uninstaller.oiv archive though, if it does, run that, but I'm not sure.
