The last time I used a PC was 20 years ago so please bear with me here.

 

Does it matter where I purchase GTA V? I'm asking because after reading through this forum, to my understanding LSPDFR only runs with Epic or Steam versions. I bought mine at GameStop. Is there a way to convert to Epic or Steam? Or I'm just SOL, need to shell out another $30 for the Epic version? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA

Only three versions of the game exist; Rockstar Warehouse (Retail), Epic or Steam.

 

It's likely you have the retail version. LSPDFR is compatible with this version.

Yes, I do have to go through Rockstar Launcher to start the game. However, Rage can't seem to find a game folder that GTA V is in. Error message keeps pop up. I downloaded both the launcher and the game to Desktop. So exactly which game folder is it in? I'm very confused here.

Put RPH into the GTA folder

Should be (if default);

C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V

 

You should have installed LSPDFR into the GTA folder.

So I put RPH into the GTA folder, but this is what pops up

 

RAGE Plugin Hook is installed incorrectly.

RAGE Plugin Hook must be installed in the game folder.

It is currently installed or working in
C:\Users\jtang\OneDrive\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V.

Please reinstall RAGE Plugin Hook in
the game folder.

I click Yes and this 

 

RAGE Plugin Hook could not locate the game folder, and thus could only open the folder RAGE Plugin Hook is currently installed in.

 

What am I doing wrong here?

 

 

You put RPH into your OneDrive synced Documents folder.

 

it has to be installed into your game folder. 

A game folder, what's that and where can I find it? Sorry, everything is new to me, been playing games on console and Apple products. Thanks

It's where you installed the game.

 

If you do not know where that is, search for GTA5 or GTA5.exe on your PC. Where ever that executeable file is, you will find the rest of your game files.
