Is anyone else annoyed by this? I guess the original developers put this feature in for vanilla gameplay, but I am really annoyed when I respond to calls with ELS sirens on a the cars beep like I am some bloody terrorist (naturally we drive faster than usual and break some driving laws when responding and for this I would rather the cars not beep at all then give itchy beeps every 5 seconds).

Is someone considering creating a mod to stop cars beeping at other drivers altogether? Or could someone give a hint where to start? (Would it be somewhere in the ped personalities files?)

Using an editor, you could open horns.ivaud and remove all the horn files, note however, that no car will be able to beep anymore, even you. Don't know if this works though, never tried myself but it might be worth a try. Do not forget to keep the siren and airhorn files as otherwise your sirens won't be working as well,

There is no way you can disable that except above way. However that's not the solution. I don't usually listen to game sounds, I play a load music all over that.
