Hey I need some help, before I downloaded this mod my gta 4 worked properly, after I downloaded the auto install, every time I click on play gta 4 it says " Grand theft auto has stopped working", ive tryed to restart my computer and still does it. Ive ran it as administrator but it still says the same error. It also says that DEP is blocking it but when I go to turn it off the DEP it says GTA 4 needs this to be on to play. I try ed to run the diagnostic report but when I open it up my Norton Security says its a virus and automatically deletes it. What should I do now?

Have you tried installing LCPDFR or is this just a GTAIV issue?

Turn of Norton when running the tool. It's not a virus, don't worry.

Its the mod, Ive played gta before with no problem, this problem occurred when I downloaded the mod.

Update GTAIV to the latest version..

Why is it that people ignore this step? YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY MODS.

I did the diagnostics and posted them, do you see anything wrong?

and where can I find an download for the update, I cant seem to find one?

Yes, you were using 1.0.0.0.

The support page (the one you viewed before posting in this forum) clearly states that you need to update IV to the latest version before LCPDFR will work.

I didn't see anything wrong considering your diagnostic wasn't posted when I replied to your post. I just remembered that when somebody installs mods and that they work and when installing another, it fails, it's because of the version.

I installed the update and it still crashes when I go to play gta, should I re-install the mod?

This is caused by an outdated version of Games for Windows LIVE.

You have two options here, download this or install xliveless (which will disable online play).

If this doesnt work I can pm you some instructions that may make life 5x easier for you and everybody else thats tryin to help you
