Not able to download

If this is braking your rules I am sorry.

I am having problems with downloading the LCPD first response and G17 Media IV Diagnostics tool. My computer automaticly removed them tell me they are "this insight network threat has been removed." also saying risk medium.

Do I need to shut off some things before downloading them?

I can download zip files with no problems.

Just trying to get help with my first mod download for my GTA iv game.

My other games the mod was easy to download, this game its different in downloading mods.

Hi and welcome to LCPDFR forums!

Downloading LCPDFR and other associated files are at your own risk. You may disable your computer security systems, at your own risk to download LCPDFR. I would expect there would be no problem if you are downloading from this website and not any others that are hosting the files. LCPDFR is now in the form of an executable, everything is done for you (except downloading C++ 2010 Redistributable and .NET Framework 4)

I downloaded it and installed it just when i got the replies.

Now i can't seem to run the mod. It doesn't want to run. Is the mod for singal player or multiplayer?

If multiplayer, I am unable to us the mod do to the windows live is not working. I have the windows live account but it will not connect to the game. I can only do the offline play.

Trying to find ways in getting it to work but am running into dead ends.

I did the Alt-P when i went in the game (singal player).

The mod works with single player mostly, and is recommended for SP. Click the "Get Support" link on the top of the page here and run the tests then reply to your topic with those so we can find out the reason why the mod is not loaded. (in your case)

Ok i have done that.

All files are in there right places. I did that run thing.

I got this.

CPU "ok"

Ram "ok"

.Net framework 4.0 "ok"

Visual C++ 2010 "ok"

GTA IV "ok"

Then it stopped responding.

Question. When i hit ALT + P , and i'm in my room. Would I still be in my room and the screen looks like nothing happen? Or would i be at the police station? or something that can help me see if it is work? I don't want to get to the station and try to drive the squad car and the police start to chase me.

You should always get out of the apartment where you first spawn to start the mod, otherwise you could crash. When you hit ALT-P, you should see yourself in front of the closest police station with some text indicating you how to work out.

On what version of GTAIV are you on? It's odd that the program stops responding, maybe Jay can help you out more on that one.

Could you re-confirm you have dsound.dll in your GTAIV root folder and not xliveless.dll?

Yes I have dsound.dll in my GTAIV root folder. I do not have xliveless.dll in my GTAIV root folder.

I never did check mark the xliveless.dll, as it said "not recoumended"

No, I got this game at Target. There was only three left lol

Do I need to make a new folder under Programs Files (x86), copy and past the GTAIV files into the new folder???

Some of the mods I have for my other games, sometime require me to make a new folder and copy and past the game files into the folder i made under Programs Files (x86). But they always have there own Desktop shortcut to the mod.

Do you have C++ 2010 x86 not x64?

You do not need to move your GTAIV files and do not - this will cause issues when starting the game and future uninstalling/repairing etc.

If his folder for program files has x86, then he needs the C++ for x64.

I thought that the C++ requirement was for .Net ScriptHook, on that page says: "Make sure to install the linked x86 version, even on x64 systems!".
