Friend registration problem,

Featured Replies

So i am trying to set up my friend with LCPDFR, And while registrating he gets this error,

The following errors were found:

Security checks failed. Account creation cannot continue from this IP address.

The most common reason is having multiple accounts or using a proxy.

We recommend you use another computer or restart your router.

"User's IP Address here, Removed by JAM"

MScan: , PScan: detected

I am helping him by teamviewer. Any reason why he got that?

He is not using a proxy and doesnt have an account

Back in town!

Have you tried emailing Jay? I had problems when i went to set up my account so i sent him an email and he fixed it. :) Email him with your friend's info and he can set it up for you.

Go to the forums page and at the bottom, click on the community team and there will be a list of people. Just go through that.

Remove the IP address from the public forums.

Are you crazy? This should be covered in the "personal private information" clause that most forums have, in regards to not posting personal information about yourself or others. If you need to share with the moderators/admins to fix the issue, that is completely understandable and should be done via private communication (P.M./E-mail). Seriously, please remove that!

Meh, I some what agree, but it's truthfully not "That" dangerous, but any who, I'll remove it for the users safety, plus it really serves no informational purpose for his help.

I'll pass this along to Jay, and as stated above by Tom H, you could try Emailing him, again his email address is Jay@Lcpdfr.com, that, or PM him over the forums, also, as stated in the error: "The most common reason is having multiple accounts or using a proxy.", check to make sure that none of these common issues are occurring with your friend (Such as having a Proxy or multiple Accounts).

Having the IP address on show isn't a huge threat as the most you can really do is trace their location. Which will be hard if they have a dynamic IP as it will change soon. Plus it's not specific and is only a general address and often will only lead back to the ISP.

If your behind a router and firewall, your pretty much safe from the usual attacks that your average hacker is going to attempt. As well as that, every online advert, every search engine and every website you visit will know your IP address......

Sure, it's not quite a good idea, but it doesn't really pose much of a threat.
