Hey there if someone can help me as we all know R* has updated GTA IV and made it in the ultimate edition what means that on start up you can choose betweet GTA IV or EFLC but the problem is i can't mod anymore i also can't downgrade to 1.0.7.0 or 1.0.4.0 even if i put a trainer in it the game doesn't start up, when i put in a patch it gives a error saying 'can't find the launcher please reinstall the game or restart your pc' when i take it all out it works perfectly but i really wanna play with mods and wanna play LCPDFR can someone please please tell what the issue is and maybe make a video on it or explain me what i can do to make it work, i hope someone reads this and knows what to do. Rockstar have done this for a reason. the update means mods will not work. this is because the memory where the various functions exist for scripthook are not the same anymore. So the scripthook is no longer actually hooking into the game's process the way it used to.

 

This is something that will no longer work for the foreseeable future, until someone clever enough to reverse engineer it chooses to do so. Given that GTA V and RDR2 are the current gen games it's not likely to be re-hooked any time soon.

As Luke has pointed out there are some technical challenges on updating the hooks, especially without source code. I managed to port most of what is needed to run LCPDFR yesterday but it is quite crashy at the moment. See discussion here:
