Mod suggestion - experience / level up system

Featured Replies

Not sure if it's been done before but I haven't found anything for LSPDFR. Not sure if it's possible but just thought it would be a good mod if someone could make it.

The general concept is the ability to level up through LSPDFR actions such as arresting people & completing callouts etc.

This could be done with a virtual currency to purchase equipment, backup etc or all through exp points. You could be rewarded with xp or the virtual currency for doing good things and penalised for doing things wrong such as civilian casualties / deaths.

I figured you could level up once you have more xp points which would result in unlocking better weapons and cars (like a promotion essentially). Alternatively you could spend virtual currency on a promotion to earn better gear or even unlock better callouts - that might be a bit farfetched for the mod though

I honestly love the idea, but I don't think it would work in this setting. Even if you made the ability to buy things cheap and made it easy enough to rank up, it just becomes a grind. The whole point of LSPDFR, in my opinion, is to be able to have free range to play as what you want, when you want to. It gives people the creative freedom to create their own RP System. I also think making people pay to unlock certain weapons and vehicles just wouldn't be possible for LSPDFR to do (again, I could be wrong).

What I would find interesting, is maybe having a forum rank for your character in which you get ranked up based on arrests made. The only issue is that someone could easily abuse that by just arresting anyone and there is no way to track if the arrest is legit or not, as far as I know.

I agree with Bastion! It's a really good idea, like a really good one but players could do them by themselves without the mod. For example, if I were to say I can't drive an unmarked charger until I reach blah blah rank, I could just tell myself to not drive the charger until I reach that certain amount of arrests, tickets, whatever the goal was to reach have been reached. vs having the option to spawn that charger actually and literally greyed out by the mod until that goal was reached.

Thought about this yesterday and decided to check if there is mod with a level and or “karma” system. Didn’t find anything but can’t imagine no modder thought about this. Would be cool to level up from a rookie to undercover cop. Even cooler if you lose points for killing civs and cops. Get points for succes. Maybe also a corrupt system where you can become corrupt if you lose too many points. (Like in sleeping dogs for example)

That is The important thing!
It is not possible to make a cross plugin feature for ranks ao access to vehicles, but YOU can make your own gameplay-rules, and create a game inside the game. With the current LSPDfr that is what is possible atm.

Let me know if you find it interesting.
Best Regards.
