im seeing so many constant issues and so many things NOT being done about it im starting to see why lspdfr is dying because the devs cant take care of it properly and cant even provide proper support i know cyan is going to post his usual reply on this thread about the READ THIS IT WILL SAVE YOU TIME post but yet never bothered to realize it doesnt apply to a lot of current issues going on if lspdfr wants to succeed it needs to relapse to the old version from a year or so ago or find a better way to provide support and fixes for the modification i understand every issue is different but there are NO excuses as to why this modification should be having so many issues the old version never had this many issues the only way to properly keep a game running and its playerbase happy is to do something about it stop trying to update a game thats dead and not supported anymore rockstar is too busy with RDR2 to care about gta 5 so we can expect that its not going to change anytime soon lspdfr is a great modification but its just dying due to the fact it has so many issues id be happy to help fix things but i myself am having too many issues with it spending more time trying to fix my own instance of lspdfr to be able to try and bring any support to the people about it i say as a developer personally the devs of lspdfr need a new strategy for updating or fixing the game it could stay alive but its really struggling at the moment i hope it can be fixed soon cause id really love to play again since i havent played it in a few years due to my work on creating a entire game of my own. 

P.S. before anyone wants to say im just running my mouth and upset that my game doesnt work as well as it should just note i can easily make this game/modification better than it is or even my own version i dont do that out of respect for the devs and the fact that its not my place to mess with the mod i would be more than willing to help where i can but as i said i need to fix my own setup before i try to help anyone else.

I'm surprised though. For thousand, almost hundreds of thousands of users this modification works just fine. Sure, there are some issues, but they are either user-related or script related.

I'd suggest you try these before you run your mouth about being better than G17, when you can't even fix your own game. 🙂

First of all, dude, take a deep breath and add some periods to your wall of text. Reading this was more difficult than getting LSPDFR to run properly.

Now that we're on topic, you are just running your mouth because you're upset that it's not working for you.

With your so claimed expertise you should easily be able to drag and drop some files into your GTA folder and read a log for issues.

But your rant with little to no constructive criticism doesn't help anybody, if all it's rather counter productive.

Wrong. I'd even go as far to say that 0.4 has less issues than 0.3. And the small issues that still exist are probably still the same ones from 0.3 and are just as easily fixable, provided you take a look at the forums or the RPH Discord and actually ask or search for a solution. It's really not that hard.

Rockstar obviously still cares about GTA 5, otherwise they wouldn't keep releasing updates for a 7 year old game multiple times a year. In fact, they've recently hit a milestone for most active players, so there's that.

 

I'll ignore the rest of your post because it's basically just "I'm such a great dev, yall suck, I could do it 100x better but I don't want to"-talk that nobody asked for or cares about.

My only problem is the fps drops when i go on duty

You're getting FREE software, expecting premium features. LSPDFR is a completely free mod, so no, they don't have to provide proper support for it. Support for free products is provided by people in the community who care about it (for example, in this case, the RPH discord or even these forums). You can't expect someone that doesn't get paid to provide a product and also expect them to pay people to make a support team for you. Expecting someone to both give you something and spend money as well for you is extremely unrealistic to say the least.

I would assume you would know about this, but let me introduce you to the concept of bugs. It's pretty clear that you either have never worked on a big project before or got a huge ego. It's extremely common to have bugs when adding new things. Having bugs when adding new things is inevitable imo and in most devs' opinion really. And because I'm really used to getting this unrealistic expectation and I give this reply way too often, I know the question "Why do they publicly release it then?" is coming. They publicly release it, because they most likely weren't aware of the bug when they did and it was either not a really gamebreaking bug or they essentially needed more testers for it (all of us trying the mod out), because it was a tough bug to figure out.

 

That being said, I'm REALLY looking forward to you realizing that for yourself if/when your game is out.

Considering all the false expectations I mentioned above, I wouldn't say you can properly criticize someone "as a dev", but rather a picky customer (that's not even a customer, because you don't even pay for anything).

First, I really doubt someone that can't set up a mod can create a better version of it, when numerous people most of which don't even have a coding background managed to do it just fine. Second, your respect for the devs is clearly not shown in this post, when you claim you can do better than a whole team of devs. Third, I really doubt you can help, because, again, you can't even set it up.

 

That's about all of the things I could understand with the lack of punctuation in the post.
I'll give you this piece of advice, if you're actually making your own game: You will get a lot of people like yourself saying the same things about your software and it will be true, so get ready to randomly read this post in a couple years and think "There's no way I expected that, that's so embarrassing" and proceed to delete it out of shame.
