2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA LSPD/LSSD V1.4RX

Was just wondering if someone could help me out here. When I install this vehicle and try to view the yft file, it crashes openiv....anyone know why? Here is a screenshot:

After reading over the comments, I realize now you disabled viewing of the yft file so it isn't a problem with the files, but I am also getting CTD after about 5 minutes of gameplay saying "Game memory error. Please reboot and restart the game". I guess that is completely unrelated....Ffs I just reinstalled the game and made a new mods folder last week, I really don't want to do it again :(

Same. I hope it works in game though, going to try it out now.

Aaaah something's wrong, whenever I try to open the ytd file from the archive it crashes my OpenIV, I don't know what to do!

Don't open it in OpenIV.  Regardless of it crashing OpenIV the model will work in game flawlessly.  It is in my opinion that this is done on purpose.

Yeah I know, it was purposefully disabled, thanks anyway!

Quick question!  Lovely model. But I've seen people with the police computer on, inside car, and saw the texture for it, so how do I make my screen not black?

Need some help with the lighting. I read the read me and did everything and tried what other people have said and i still cant get the light bar to work properly and most of the other lights dont work at all. Not sure what im doing wrong so if someone could just explain carvariations maybe i can see where i went wrong. Thanks!!

So, I cant get this model to work, cant spawn it in game, and OpenIV crashes when I try to preview the .yft.

Any ideas how to fix it?

As for the screen lighting up try using my RADIANCE V mod should fix this problem.

It should work fine over "police2" slot what slot are you putting it over ?

Be sure you are installing it properly, as fr the preview in OpenIV that is nothing your doing wrong.

Hey Bxbugs, sorry for quoting (can't tag on my pc, don't know why). I wonder why I can't use the Impala as POLICE. Installed the .ytd and .yft files (and renamed them) in the right position (x64e/levels/gta5), changed the POLICE flag lines in veichles.meta, installed the carvariations file you provide changing with POLICE. Game is stuck on loading, then crashes. What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: nevermind, problem solved. You need to delete one of the double "item" in carvariations.

Is there a way for me to set only one livery to ever randomly spawn? For example, I want sheriffs to always spawn with the blaine county livery.

Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question - I really did look through the other questions to see if it was already answered, I swear! :)

After doing everything in the installation instructions I cannot get this model to spawn in the game. Has anyone had this issue and solved it?

I need some help, not sure what's going on. I can't get the carvariations.meta to work for the sheriff slot. I've had it work multiple times in the past but after I did a clean install for 0.3 I can't get it to work anymore. I tried putting the car variations in different file locations, putting the vehicle files in different locations with no avail. The lights are still not working. 

Please help!

I had the same problem when I did a clean install as well. But it was the carvariations for me. Place that where is says its supposed to be. Everything for is working how it was before for me now.

Mine is in the right place, and I have the name changed to sheriff. Idk whats wrong

Did you change that to sheriff in the actual file as well?

Yes

I can't get it to work I replaced it in the location you said and I still see the gta model.

Same here. I renamed vehicle files to police3 tho.

I got it to work by putting it in patchday4 folder, instead of 3 (as mentioned in the doc)

I'm having a similar problem. Trying to replace the SHERIFF car and while the model loads, the lights are wonky (i.e. the slimlighter in the back is only flashing on the red side) and I think this has to do with the carvariations file. I tried replacing it (after changing the item line from police3 to sheriff) in the mpchristmas2 folder but all that did was cause the game to crash before even loading (and I did try deleting the extra <item> tag in the file and that did not help) 

Can I make this police3 insteasd of police2?
