anyone having this issue ??

ini below

Traffic Policer.ini

UPDATES:

THE LOCATION THE MOD IS IN IS G:\Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\LSPDFR

 It's STILL CHANGING F4 to F5, after restarting GTAV. im about to stop using this darn mod, if it cant be resolved

I don't like your attitude. If you're going to ask for support 5 times a day, do so in a respectful manner. I don't get paid for this and I don't recall you having donated to me.

As for your INI file, you didn't do what the installation instructions say. To fix this, DELETE your current INI file, COPY the ini file from the Traffic Policer 6.6.0.2 download to your Plugins/LSPDFR folder and start again. Yes, you'll have to redo it all.

 okay I'm sorry I should not have acted the way I did. I am just very stressed out. But what I don't understand is, I have other plugins from other people and you that go in the same directory it's only worded that way because it's a separate internal drive away from the os. And I already tried to replace the ini file from the original download you provided, but as soon as I start making simple edits it starts messing up again. This is the issue I'm talking about. Once again I am very sorry about the way I acted.

@joe25  I can see from the INI file you uploaded that you haven't replaced it (or didn't do it properly). Please try it again by completely deleting the INI file in your Plugins/LSPDFR folder and putting the one in from the original download (make sure it's the one from the latest version, 6.6.0.2). Then it will all work again.

okay, Let's say if I did not replace the ini file. When you look at the file I downloaded. did you see anything that prevents the ini file from working properly. they're just simple edits. I don't see why it would continue to act the way it is. Because I've have been replacing the file every single time. And every time I edit the file it still acts up

when you look at the 2 ini files, does the edited one seem okay to you ?

i had my gta location open at the time to see what it would do in real time, once again

it modified the ini to this

@joe25 if F5 is your panic button and the INI always changes something back to that in traffic policer or something, why not change the key in panic button to something else then leaving policer alone and see if its easier.....and to delete a mod completely you just had to remove all instances of it, in plugins, plugins/lspdfr (if valid) and lspdfr/police scanner/ traffic policer audio, then put the new stuff in... when I have to updates I just compare old and new INI so that I have same keys as I did before...

hope this helps..

That's also a good possibility :smile:

Although, judging by his silence, I think @joe25 finally followed the instructions and got it working :wink:

i thought about that, but looking at it, i also saw that more keys were being ignored. then it turned out my whole ini was being ignored so that wouldn't have helped.

i finally got it though. thanks, Quakex64 and Albo1125

ok, it took me a while to locate this minor difference

3 of the files have something in common where as they were not recognized, thus being Bad ini's (Copied and Pasted my old Ini Info into my new Ini File)

2 of the ini files also had something in common where they were OK (Original Downloaded ini and edited original downloaded typed in changes ini)

would this make a difference ?

play spot the difference (Ignore all changes in keybindings) Look Hard :smile:

BAD INI FILE

//Default: TrafficStopMimickModifierKey=LControlKey
TrafficStopMimickModifierKey=None

//Default: TrafficStopMimickKey=Q
TrafficStopMimickKey=NumPad9

GOOD INI FILE

//Default: TrafficStopMimicModifierKey=LControlKey
TrafficStopMimicModifierKey=LControlKey

//Default: TrafficStopMimicKey=Q
TrafficStopMimicKey=Q

Give Up ??

So you're saying it was a mimic spelling issue in the ini ( TrafficStopMimickKey=NumPad9 ) vs ( TrafficStopMimicKey )?
