(55 reviews)

6 Screenshots

PLDPlayer Location Display is a script modification that displays the player's current location (including street name or intersection, area name, and region) at the bottom-left corner of the user's screen.

DESCRIPTION
− PLD displays the player’s current in-game location on the screen.
− Location includes street name or intersection, district name, and region.
− PLD also displays the current in-game time.
− PLD allows the user to toggle the size of the radar and provides some informative multiplayer** features.

NOTES
− Consult the FEATURE INFO file to learn more about PLD and its features.
− It is recommended that you disable subtitles (PAUSE > SETTINGS > DISPLAY > SUBTITLES) when using PLD to prevent overlap.
**Multiplayer is understood to be a 3rd party multiplayer mod, such as FiveReborn.

INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.

− 1. Place the .asi and .ini files provided in the download inside your main GTAV game directory.
− 2. Modify the .ini file as you see fit.
− 3. Start your game.

CREDITS
− PLD is coded by Lt.Caine.
− Thank you to Alexander Blade without whose work scripting for GTAV would not be possible.

Hello, Lt.Caine !!Thank you so much for this plugin and its update. I would also like to report you a bug,

When I'm approaching Access road of  Hillerest Ridge GTAV crashes... This is the only place that I know of that make my game crashes.

Thank you ahead for the help and the fix ;)

Hey @Thomas13003, thank you for your report.

Could you elaborate on the circumstances of the crash? I just drove from one end of "Hillcrest Ridge Access Rd" to the other (and approached it from the streets to the north and the south), without issue.

Hi, yes of course ! Thank you for the test !

The crashe hapen when I play with GTAV without rageplugin hook, as well as with it. I run RPH 0.41 LSPDFR0.3.1 on W10-64bit. Could it conflict with skin control, spikes or trainer .ASI ? I forgot to tell you that I am using Steam version of GTAV

I reinstalled GTAV several times but didn't resolved the issue..

I thank you very much for the help !

Hey @OfficerTdmfan750 and @TheDude, it's actually intended for use with a 3rd party multiplayer add-on, such as FiveReborn where mods can be used relatively freely (and which usually don't have player blips or a player list). GTA Online--that is, the game's built-in multiplayer--runs checks for mods which could get you banned.

ah gotcha, did not know that fivem created a new service will def check that out. might want to put a disclaimer in the description though so that people do not try to attempt it on rockstar servers. :)

Great mod, very helpful. But I cannot turn of the 'toggle radar size' option, even when set to 'false' in the .ini file. So the dPad Down function permanently changes the radar size. Other reviews on this and other sites show I'm not the only one with this problem. Has anyone an idea how to fix this? Then this mod WILL GET 5 stars!

Only fix I've found is going back to the older version... which I did because that zooming shit is annoying.

TY for this.. I just noticed it today. I was WTF is this crap. I didn't even know what was causing it. I just wanted to go away. Now I know the culprit. Just going to go back to older version as well.

EDIT: Just to clarify before anyone gets the wrong picture here. I'm not calling PLD crap, I was referring to the crap with pressing dpad down as I cycle thru Menus where I use dpad down and every time I went down on a Menu the mini map would go BIG small BIG small BIG small Big, you get the picture :) I've also tried to set it to false in the .ini and it did not work.

I love the new map resize in single player, but my map also does not stop resizing even tho it's set to false. I ended up removing it when I'm testing out addon's for my pack,  as I use down alot with the trainer.

Yes I saw the post,  just pointing out a bug. I like having the bigger map,  but being able to toggle it would be great too. Along with using it with multi-player

Setting AllowRadarSizeToggle = false in the PLD.ini does not prevent the minimap from expanding.  Please fix this.  I am using an older version simply because of this issue!

Does anybody have the older version? I tried to download it and shows 0 files. The map is now driving me nuts since it's broken.

PLD is a powerful yet simple tool for every Officer in GTA yet it has one design flaw: You can't turn it off.

Sometimes I just want to make a clean screenshot without anything on my HUD, just the game. PLD prevents me from achieving that.

A button or option to toggle it would be something this tool is missing.

From the included documentation:

The PLD toggle key combo is: Alt + Ctrl + L.
- Press it to toggle the PLD on-screen text; this is especially useful when taking screenshots or filming videos

You should add that to the mods description here as well! Thanks for the headsup!

Hi @Lt.Caine !

Always crash to desktop when I'm here on the map :) (screenshot)
I have the game in French. If I set the game to english, no more crash :)

Don't know if it can be fixed ;) I'm playing in english for now.

"AllowRadarSizeToggle = false" is not working for me. Whenever I take a radio call by pressing Y, the minimap toggles to bigger size. Any ideas?

When I set the "Allow Radar Size Toggle" to false it still comes up big.

I have the same problem. I love the mod, but it would be nice to have this fixed.

I know other people have mentioned it but I'm also having the issue where setting the toggle for "Allow Radar Size" to false doesn't change the function.

@Lt.Caine, any possible way you would take into consideration setting up a hotkey to hide this? Also for some of us who hide the radar altogether can u add settings to the ini file so when radar is hidden player location is displayed all the way in the bottom left?

EDIT, If u have the map mod that hides map with a button it also hides this lol, my bad!
