how do you add the stuff to the game

Before posting this i looked in the whole file structure to find a readme (no offense), but i couldn't find it. I am writing down the steps i did for those a little new to modding GTA IV. Please correct me if i am wrong and tell me how to use different skins.

1- Choose your car of choice.

2- Rename the .wft and .wdt (slicktop means no lightbar on top of vehicle, unmarked means undercover) files to one of the law enforcement vehicles (e.g: police1, polpatriot, noose, fbi etc)

3- Use GTAIVmi(vehicle installer), Open IV or Spark IV to replace those files.

4- Go to your GTA IV directory and go to the ELS folder. Over there, open the default_config.ini and replace the lines with the one in this download.

what do you mean by rename?

yeah I get it up but when it says find the folder to do the switch it says that it is impossible. 

right click then select rename to the model name you want example police,police2,fbi,noos, police3,police4,polpatriot, nstockade,pstocakde

The Liberty County Sheriff skins come with the vehicle pack right?

Make sure you have +livery set on those slots. Make sure your trainer can switch liveries. Use under "Vehicle Options" "Set Livery". There you'll be able to change your livery.

Alright can someone please help me. I installed the vehicle pack (all vehicles installed were marked). I download ALM and even enabled the livery function from the trainer.ini of SNT. But when in game, when i go to the SNT menu to change livery, nothing happens

Ok people, sorry but i forgot to add +livery in vehicles.ide.

For all the new to modding people, Go to |Gta IV directory ---> common ---> data ---> vehicles.ide|

Now, for the cars you want to have liveries for, skip to the last character of the line (for example you have to find noose for noose cruiser, or polpatriot for the noose patriot) and then you have to add (+liveries) without the brackets. You have to do this for every car which has liveries. AAAAND DONE!

Hey, so I'm actually new to adding liveries. I've added +liveries to the specific vehicles, however, when I try and change my livery in game, I'm unable to do so. Trainer says to press 4 and 6 to change.. and it also says there are 0 liveries. I don't have any livery mods installed. Would you happen to know if one is needed?

And for the rest I've edited to be bikes ect. do this should work

go to GTA IV--->common----->data------>vehicles.Ide and copy paste the vehicle lines you're using 

I installed the cars with OpenIV in the vehicles.img folder. Then when I open my game, it crashes in the loading screen. What to do now? Help :/

did you make copies

of vehicles.img or the gtaiv folder

No. I put the files into my directory, using OpenIV. And my game keeps crashing whenever I load to singleplayer...

cut them out of main derectory and put them in a file named "gta iv backup" or something and see if that works

I download this pack but don't know how to install  which file should be replace?!
