Ticket Time

By FinKone

CURRENT SUPPORTED RESOLUTIONS

1920x1080 (download TicketTime(hotfix 1.01)

1600x900 (download TicketTime1600x900 v1.01)

If you are running a lower resolution, it will not work correctly.

What is Ticket Time? Ticket Time expands on the mechanics of LCPDFR (and requires LCPDFR) to work. It was made to work with 1.0d, and 1.1.

It gives the player more options in terms of collecting information from the driver of a vehicle. It does not generate it owns "persons" names, or wanted status.

It works in conjunction with LCPDFR.

Completing the form is not required - but adds that extra detail for players that want it.

Install - throw Ticket Time in your scripts folder.

Use - pull a vehicle over using LCPDFR. Once they've come to a stop, and you are behind them, press Z.

Follow the prompts from there...

Known issues of 1.01

  • Issues giving the suspect orders using LCPDFR once asked to step out of the vehicle (use other methods until I fix this if you want.)
  • Having another unit can sometimes (rarely) make the game crash. Still checking into this one.

Feel free to track me on youtube.

What's New in Version 1.01

Released

  • 1.01
  • Hotfix addresses minor errors in code which ruined the entire experience.

This is making me so jealous lol I wish I could actually be able to use it :( But from the gameplay I've seen, you did an amazing job Finkone.

This is awesome, but I have to wait till you update it for 1600x900 resolution :( . I'll still rate it 5 stars.

1600x900 should be do-able.

Nice work! As an idea, you could put arrow icons (possibly enabled by arrow keys) on the bottom of the screen when you look at your documents.

This way, you can shift to the left or right to look at the different documents and the information on them, which is similar to how the radio icons scroll when you're switching through stations in IV, SA, VC, III, etc.

Also, this method may help to add support for other resolutions.

One other thing I just thought of:

This method is similar to that of the LCPDFR character and vehicle select, where you shift left or right to look or select the object you want.

Man this mod looks amazing! Just tried it but I have to run the game on 800 resolution the lowest setting in-game cause I get like 3-5 fps with 1920 res, and I tried to switch the res to 1920 thinking I could do that while writing tickets and I couldn't click on anything cause with the fps drop I had intense mouse lag and when I tried to click it wouldn't register at all. I hope it won't be too tough, and im willing to wait as long as it takes, because this mod is one of the best most realistic addons for LCPDFR, but if you can try to code it to work with all resolutions especially the lowest at 800 that would be amazing! Do what you can though, I hope it won't be too much work but I really love this addon and would love to use it with the resolution I have to play at!

Fin! What up bub? the script is great. i meant to get back to ya before now, but so far the high resolution gives me lag :( other than that it works if i drop my cpu usage down to almost nothing haha. Also to everyone who doesn't know Fin, he sometimes releases scripts early to his youtube subscribers!!

Found that script awesome when I saw it on Favignano's channel, glad it came out. My only concern is the lack of .ini file to configure the keys. Will it be made in the future? I'm asking this mostly because here, in France, we use AZERTY keyboards, and the Z key corresponds to the W key on QWERTY keyboards, which means my car goes forward when I hit the key for the script. Not a big deal, but a .ini configuration file could definitely help.

Sits back and wonders whether this mod will ever work with a 1366 x 768 display, it's a shame 'cause this mod looks awesome.... Patience is virtue.

Love this script! One thing that I've noticed is that when doing multiple stops the expiration dates never change for me although the names and information do. Also is there a way to change the text color from white to black on the Lic, Ins, and Reg?

Yea some users are reporting forms not cleaning up well - you might have gotten unlucky and got the same rolls - I'll have to check into this to make sure its changing.
