Radar Gun (handheld) 1.05

(9 reviews)

UPDATE NOTES

1.01, and 1.05 have been reported to REQUIRE LCPDFR 1.0(not sure on the series letter)

  • 1.05

Some of you don't like jumping out of a vehicle thats moving, because you forgot to put your RadarGun away. No worries, stay seated!

  • 1.01

MUCH NEEDED ground detection. You can now track those speed demons up and down hills, regardless of your position.

As with any of my fresh uploads - please tell me if I forgot something, or you are running into errors VIA PM!!

Updated 14MAR2015

If you already have a older version installed, and you are one of my repeat offenders, you can simply install the new ini/.net.dll files in the scripts folders.

NO NEED to install the wdr files over again.

Radar Handheld Unit that you can deploy out of any vehicle to use.

Do not modify, or redistribute outside of LCPDFR.

I'll keep this one short and simple. You can refer to the videos below in regards to Installing, and Proper use.

INSTALL TUTORIAL

HOW TO USE IT

Known issues :

  • Radar checkpoint area does not take into account elevation (yet)
  • Jumping from a vehicle thats moving, while RadarGun was out
  • Minor flickering in some users HUD

Any suggestions -feel free to PM me.

So 1.0 works fine for me, however 1.01 and 1.05 both give me an error in script after I have already retrieved the radar unit and go to aim. I am using lcpdfr version .95 and with both versions I am using the no sound variant.

I'd say hold off on updating then and use the older one - I bet' ya I started using more LCPDFR 1.0d stuff, I simply can't stay away from it you guys don't realize how much work they put into it and how fast it is to use.

Yes.

The speeds are inaccurate. It's saying a lot more. People do 60 something when they are actually only doing 50 something. Do you get the speed straight from GTA IV like SNT?

Simple Native Trainer gives correct speeds.

Anyway it's a really great script, but I hope you can fix this.

I boosted the speeds slightly.

BEFORE YOU READ: I have a lot of scripts installed which could be why these aren't working so well. I'll give a list at the bottom. This is also for GTA IV EFLC(TBOGT).

Okay, ignore the first part. Elevation is for some reason working now. But the second issue I would like adressed. If you would like me to move this to the backup callout mod considering it is unnecessary here now. I'm sorry once again. Good progress on all your mods and I'm looking forward to ticket time!

I need to start actually testing before I write these posts. It was working on the road outside of the main house in North Holland. But on Broker Dukes, it still isn't working. This time I have tested it properly.

You'd be surprised how many messages I get like this... asking for help, then saying its been solved or that they know it only works in certain areas... some of the bridge model colliders are not considered a "ground" so I'd have to add additional detection for that - not sure if I will.

Ah, I see. Cheers for getting back. I think I'll just try and figure something out with backup on my own. it is most likely a script error caused by something else.

I'd be able to make suggestions if I had more information...

What version of the script are you using? (Sound / No sound)

What version of LCPDFR are you using?

What does the crash log say?

When does it crash (after I use it is very broad).

sorry mate just saw this, when i lpress r and get out of the car i aim and use it, then when i reset the radar from looking at a particular car i then try to reaim it and it crashes, i am using the sound model and lcpdfr1.0 (the latest one), i dont know how to view the crash log
