Tired of opening the LCPDFR console and typing startcallout every time you want to play a specific callout?
CalloutMenuIV is a simple, lightweight script that lets you browse and start callouts directly from an in-game menu in GTA IV.
The menu automatically detects available callouts!
And it's not limited to the original LCPDFR callouts. It can also detect callouts from compatible third-party plugins installed in your game!
This means you don't have to manually add new callout names or constantly update a configuration file. The menu checks what's available whenever you open it.
Features
Automatic callout detection - Finds available callouts from LCPDFR and compatible additional plugins.
Random Callout option - Don't know what to play? Let the game decide!
Customizable controls - Change the activation and navigation keys through the INI file.
Lightweight script - No complicated systems or unnecessary features.
How to use
The default controls are:
F2 - Open / Close the menu
Numpad 8 / 2 - Navigate up and down
Numpad 5 - Select and start a callout
Regular arrow keys and Enter also work with the default configuration.
The menu can be opened while you're on duty in LCPDFR.
Installation
Place CalloutMenuIV.net.dll and CalloutMenuIV.ini inside your GTA IV scripts folder.
More information can be found in the included README.
A few things to keep in mind
This mod does not add new callouts. It simply provides a convenient way to start the ones available in your LCPDFR installation.
Additional callout detection depends on how other plugins register their callouts, so compatibility with every single callout pack cannot be guaranteed.
The script has been tested during gameplay and has worked well in my setup.
Of course, this is still good old GTA IV, so some plugins or callouts might occasionally behave differently than expected.
Final words
Just another small quality-of-life improvement for GTA IV!
Nothing huge or complicated - just a handy little menu for anyone who still enjoys patrolling the streets of Liberty City.
Hope you enjoy it! Feel free to leave feedback or report any issues in the comments.
