Description

Tired of always having to arrive on scene before requesting backup? Response Backup gives you a prompt when going to a callout to request backup to head to the scene with you. The button for this is configurable.

They won't just respond with one unit and one code for every callout. An included JSON file allows you to add keywords in callout names, such as shooter or robbery, and if that word is in the callout name, it'll dispatch the corresponding amount of units at whichever code you choose.

For example:

Robbery? I want 2 units code 3. If the callout's name has robbery in it, then that's the backup you'll get.

Noise Complaint? I want 1 unit code 1, and that's what will get dispatched.

Requirements

Policing Redefined is my recommendation for this plugin, however Ultimate Backup also works with it. I have not yet added Native LSPDFR Backup support! Make sure you install either PR or UB with this plugin.

I've been helping to test this plugin for the past 2 weeks and it's most certainly worth picking up guys. It's nice & lightweight, and it's stupidly easy to use.

Thanks for the super cool plugin Chzy - now the next step is getting that showcase vid finished LOL 🙏

Any chance you could add a modifier key to this one?

Yeah for sure! I'll be making version 1.1.0 soon since I got some suggestions from someone else as well. I'll add this to the list! 😊

Appreciate it.. I'm literally all out of keybinds lol but I was just thinking yesterday how crappy it is that I can't have other units at a call with or before me so this came at the perfect time!

TacticalResponseBackup does something different, it's for auto-determining response code but not for sending units to the call with you based on the video and description. It also doesn't support PR based on the description and doesn't seem to be maintained anymore

AI:Respond separately calls backup in its own way from the looks of the screenshots, whereas this plugin integrates with UB/PR. Also from what it looks like AI:Respond isn't maintained anymore either.

Nonetheless, I made this so people have something that integrates with UB and PR seamlessly since there isn't a plugin that supports PR that does this in a super optimized way.

Hope this clears that up 😊

Iirc, TacticalResponseBackup DOES, send units to the calls with you, as well as determining the response code they get sent as. Quote from the desc.;

Tactical Response Backup brings a more immersive, tactical, and voice-driven experience to LSPDFR by integrating with Grammar Police, Ultimate Backup, and Callout Interface.

Instead of calling units through menus, this plugin lets dispatch assign backup automatically based on callout priority phrases, or and lets you request any number of units by voice command. All responding units are announced by dispatch and logged in Callout Interface for realism.

However, I will still give props for making a plugin to seamlessly intergrate both PR and or UB. I can't attest to it's function as I haven't used it yet but I look forward to giving it a try.

I can understand the interpretation of that description, my interpretation and based on the video on TacticalResponseBackup's page looked as if they were already at the call when they requested backup.

I appreciate the kind words and I hope you enjoy it when you test it out 😊

Glad to hear it! I have an update in beta testing that will make this a little better with a couple extra QoL features :)

The backup works off of UB/PR so it’ll use whatever cars you have setup there 🙂

As the author of TacticalResponseBackup, it does have two features. auto dispatches units, it does send units to a callout automatically. using JSON phrases that you can setup for numbers of minimum and maximum units. Also it allows you to request a specific number of units using GrammarPolice. Never had the time to update it to make it compatible with PR tho.

Great work aswell!

Not trying to be rude in any means but would this be the same thing as Call Out Response Aka Priority Response?

I've been trying to learn C# more and more these past couple of months, and this plugin was something someone suggested I try to make to challenge myself, and I released it because I felt people would like it

So I've played for about 30 hours with this and here's what I've noticed so far it doesn't always connect the responding units with UB special units but it does work would be nice for the spawn key to work with outside of the initial call time it only gave me 15 sec to request after I got the call would be nice to either make this longer or spawn the units further sometimes I may want to show up with the unit not roll up and their all ready there

With the backup spawning, that's the job of PR and UB. I cannot change that unfortunately. As for the timer before you can't request backup, I can add a configurable option in the ini to change this if that works 🙂

I'd love if this was an option
