Giving the pdComp UI a whole new look. Both the laptop and tablet get Getac-inspired bezels. The pack also includes redesigned icons and renamed apps, inspired by real LEO software. It also includes wallpapers (lore and non-lore) and cursors all made to feel like one cohesive set. Moreover it includes XCF files for both the laptop and tablet bezels, with these files, you can fully customize your own bezel! Everything is toggleable. Don't want the webcam? Turn it off. Want a different one? Turn it on . No buttons? Toggle them off. Want stickers, or different ones? Toggle those on. Need different asset tags to match your patrol? You guessed it.. Toggle them on!

V4.1 :

  • Added a new laptop bezel variant. Slimmed down the original slightly for a better look.

    • Added a generic asset sticker to both the tablet and laptop .xfc files

V4 :

  • Created over 30+ brandable emblems for the app icons along side the app ecosystem. I looked up real-life LEO software counterparts as inspiration

  • A completely new build tablet and laptop bezel based on Getac F110, that comes with XCF (Gimp Files) that allows you to full customize the bezels to your liking. I highly, highly recommend you to do this. Here you can toggle or edit the following things:

    • Frame details (screws, grips, change color, battery display, buttons, speakerport)

    • Stickers (Blueline Flag, American Flag, K9 Sticker)

    • Asset Tags (Lore and Non Lore - CHP, LAPD, SAHP, LSPD etc)

    • Webcam (Two different webcam variants (Frame & Frameless)

    • Modern Taskbar (Edit your callsign, but also change the look of the taskbar)

  • Added a new LurkerV2 with Sentinel branding to match App Ecosystem.

  • Added new Meridian logos

INSTALL GUIDE

Drag and drop the plugins folder into your main GTA V directory. That's it. All files can be found in the Meridian: plugins -> LSPDFR -> pdComp -> assets -> Meridian

Choosing A Bezel

If you want to customize them to your own liking, download GIMP and open the XCF file in the Laptop Bezels or Tablet Bezels folder. If not, I've included a couple of ready-made variants in those folders. To install, simply choose the one you like and rename it to "bezel" for the laptop, or "tablet" for the tablet bezel. Then copy and paste it into your pdComp folder:

plugins → LSPDFR → pdComp → assets

Choosing a Wallpaper

  1. Pick a wallpaper from pdComp → assets → Wallpapers

  2. Copy it into pdComp → assets

Important: The wallpaper you want must be in the assets folder, or it won't load.

Setting Your Wallpaper

Option 1: Edit config.ini
Open config.ini, change the Wallpaper line to your file, and save

[Desktop]
Wallpaper = desktop-background2.png

Option 2: Change it in game

  1. Open pdComp

  2. Go to Settings → Appearance

  3. Change the wallpaper .png name to the one you want

  4. Go off duty, then back on duty, the new background should load on return

Option 3: Replace the default file

  1. Pick the background you want (e.g. desktop-background4.png)

  2. Rename it to desktop-background.png (the default name)

  3. Save, overwriting the original — no config edits needed

Choosing a Cursor

  1. Browse cursors in pdComp → assets → Cursors

  2. Copy the one you like into pdComp → assets

  3. Drag the current cursor file back into the Cursors folder (as a backup)

  4. Rename your new cursor to cursor

APP LORE

Meridian: Public Safety Platform :The big platform the department runs on. Handles the day-to-day: dispatch, reports, and records.

  • Dashboard: overview

  • Dispatch: callouts and unit status (CAD)

  • Reports: writing and file reports (RMS)

  • Log: log of everything you've run and filled

  • Settings: system settings


Atlas Data Solutions : Answers the two tings you check the most on patrol: who a person and vehicle/plate information

  • CrossID: person lookup: wants, warrants, criminal history, flags.

  • PlateWatch: plate/vehicle lookup: registration, owner, insurance, status.

Statute Legal Technologies: Owns the paperwork side, from the ticket all the way to the courtroom.

  • e-Cite: write and file citations/tickets.

  • BookingLink: booking and arrests:

  • CourtLink: court records and docket: cases, hearings, dispositions.

Sentinel Surveillance Systems : the surveillance one. Automated license-plate cameras and speed radar that send hotlist hits straight to the terminal.

  • Sentinel: ALPR cameras + speed radar

New Additions:

  • Icons: Completely newly designed icons, with some featuring multiple variants. The design goal was to give them the look and feel of a believable, realistic app.

  • Removed vehicles with transparent backgrounds (pdComp reads these files as JPGs, which do not support transparency).

Updates & Redesigns:

  • Icon Resizing: Resized all icons to a standard 100x100 resolution.

  • Icon Redesign: Completely redesigned the Vehicle Lookup, Court Docket, New Citation, and New Arrest icons.

Fixes:

  • Removed the glassy outline from the icons. The game engine was rendering them poorly, so they now appear smooth rather than jagged.

V2.1

Additions:

  • Added a Bezel featuring a taskbar.

  • Added a PSD file for the Bezel to allow custom call-signs.

  • Added multiple new cursors, including a Blue Line Flag variant.

Removals:

  • Removed the background from all vehicle images (this feature is optional).

  • Laptop Bezels: Added a Getac Laptop Bezel in two color variants (Full Black, Black & White).

  • Tablet Bezels: Added a Getac Tablet Bezel in two color variants (Full Black, Black & White).

  • Source Files: Added a fully customizable XCF file. Users can now change call-signs, select preferred stickers (or remove them), and fully customize the taskbar (including call-sign and icon positions).

Short Description

V4.1 - Completely redesigned, customizable Laptop and Tablet Bezels, plus 30+ new icons and more!

AI disclosure

The author has disclosed that AI tools were used in creating the following aspects of this file:

  • Mod and Mod Content (Moderate)

A hybrid approach. Some assets were created entirely by myself, others were partially AI-assisted, and the some are AI-generated to match the already established style. The bezels are modeled and built entirely from scratch: AI was only used to apply a realistic surface texture.

If I went with the Lore Friendly file how would and drag and dropped; how would I get the City of Los Santos with the beaver and bigfoot to be my background exactly? Thanks.

There are two ways I am aware of

  1. You either open the config.ini and change wallpaper name png to the one you like. In your case that would be:
    [Desktop]
    Wallpaper = desktop-background2.png

    Or while in game open pdComp -> Settings -> Appearance -> Change name of wallpaper png -> Go off duty -> Go back on duty

    You can always just rename the file to match the one I ship and replace the default file as well!

    Just fyi, I noticed the "assets" folder is named "assest" in the download which may mess people up if they drag and drop the whole thing in.

    My only other suggestion would be to possibly make another set of icons that shows up better on the yellow background

    Hi Jaden, you're right, it's the one from your mod. I had a look yesterday and mistakenly thought they were the originals from pdComp. I'm actually working on a custom bezel right now that I'll upload later today. My apologies! In the meantime, I'll credit yours for the bezels. Again, sorry about that, it wasn't my intention!

    Thanks for the suggestion! I’m actually working on a new set of icons right now that are way better, and they’ll come in both color and transparent versions.

    I actually use the yellow background myself at the moment and don’t run into this problem. Could you shoot me a DM with a screenshot showing what’s not visible for you? Maybe it’s something I can take a look at and fix.

    Not that it's not visible, just hard to see for the transparent logos imo... but my glasses are thick thick lol. I pay more for thin lenses, and they're still kind of thick LMAO. I prefer the darker backgrounds anyway, so I don't flashbang myself lol.

    XCF is for GIMP and PSD is for Photoshop, these are the raw files where you can tweak the bezel or taskbar however you like. Once you’re happy with it, just export it as a PNG. That file you can then drag and drop in pdComp assets folder

    Oh okay my mistake I thought "Fixed the Bezel XCF files so the call sign text is now actually editable" that meant in game when I switched status it would show on PDcomp screen lol

    LurkerV2 is just a small visual update at the moment, I refined the texture a bit and added the Sentinel logo so it fits in with the app's ecosystem. If you'd like to customize your bezel, you'll need GIMP (it's free) the download link and a basic tutorial are in the .txt file inside the XCF folder!
