How to use in RP:

  1. Arrive: Secure the area and tap F1 to shut down the road. Then use Traffic Policer 2025 to close the road.

  2. Identify: If it’s your own call, use Start Investigation. If it’s another mod’s call, use Assume Jurisdiction. If it’s Automatically Spawned - it automatically uses Start Investigation and adds the case to the case board. You just need to input the victims name. I do the victims name then perps after I find them. E.g. victim - perp: John Doe - Jane Doe

  3. Forensics: Select Process Scene to drop markers. Walk to each marker, read the description, and collect the evidence.

  4. Follow-up: Spawn a witness or a family member to get a statement before clearing the scene with the End key. And it can be on your time. This Script is either fast paced or slow it’s all up to you! Even after you end a scene with end key you can use the POI to generate leads via witnesses or family members

The Detective Bureau: Universal Investigation Script

Ever finish an LSPDFR callout and feel like the RP just "stops" once the suspect is handcuffed? The Detective Bureau is designed to extend your investigation by adding high-fidelity forensic procedures and scene management tools to any situation in Los Santos.

Key Features:

  • Universal Jurisdiction: This is the game-changer. Whether you are using a built-in LSPDFR event, a 3rd-party callout (like SuperCallouts), or you just stumble upon an organic crime scene, you can use the "Assume Jurisdiction" feature. The script will "sense" the nearest deceased subject and allow you to begin processing.

  • Dynamic Scene Processing: Deploy forensic markers that drop randomized evidence based on the case type (Homicides drop casings/blood; Accidents drop glass/skid marks). Walk the scene and collect evidence manually using the "E" key or right dpad if using controller.

  • Traffic Control (F1): It will erase traffic at the scene because sometimes they are parked on or over your victim. I also use Traffic Policer 2025 mod to stop the traffic.

  • POI Management: Need to interview the victim's family? Need to track down a witness who fled away? Use the Persons of Interest menu to generate leads and interview targets on the fly. You can also RP with existing peds.

  • Immersive Banners: Full Dispatch audio-visual support with blue banners and randomized victim models to ensure no two scenes look the same. (Text based only)

  • Case Management: Tracks up to 20 cases that refresh. Manually add the victims name to the Investigation Docket and continue your investigation until you can close the case.

  • During accident scene if you go into DMV you can Select Search Incident Vehicle and go find the perp who hit the ped!

  • MDT which syncs with the Case Board in the menu.

  • Notifications allows you to request family contact information and send the notification as well as let the Lieutenant know the case has been closed. Amongst others.

  • Three events: Narcotics Event, Car theft Event, Gang Event. Found in start investigation inside Detective Bureau menu.

  • Ambient-Auto Investigations: After you make Detective through the Dept Hub you will get random cases.

  • Property Investigations: X key, it is global, but should be used near doors at prop houses allows you to enter the interiors to investigate. Only 3 interiors.

  • DMV: You can check abandoned vehicles to see if the plate has been flagged in a crime. You can also check vin numbers for paperwork to see if a vehicle is stolen or if the ped didn't register it.

I think it would be better if witnesses, family members, and suspects spawned automatically after an andjustable time period, instead of the player having to spawn them manually. The chance of finding a suspect could also depend on how much information the player collected during the initial investigation.

I’ll keep that in mind for future updates. For now, I ask that you give it a shot as a sandbox tool and use your imagination to see how the investigation would go if you were watching a tv show like the first 48 and NYPD blue. I avoided structure because I felt it was too rigid. But, I’ll see how others feel and maybe change the flow to timed events. Thanks for the feedback.

Another suggestion would be have a camera use you phone or camera mod before you collect evidence take pics of the evidence before that way you can role play day you have taken pics and secure evidence and preserve the scene. Or another suggestion would be having police tape or crime tape

I still need to give this mod a try, but this makes me really excited because I've been looking for more mods that aren't the standard show up, get shot at, and continue patrol. Something that not only adds more depth to the investigative aspect of police work but also gives me control of the pace at which this happens sounds really cool

Amazing mod bro. One suggestion the detective instead of using shoulder mike have a hand held radio when talking dispatch

Love the plugin just one thing for me is the F3 KEY I want to change it to F9 is it possible for a ini. Its clashing with my trainer other than that the plugin is great.

Those pesky plate returns from stop the ped will no longer pester you lol. I just did a play through as a uniformed officer and ran a plate that came back No registration No insurance and Vin mismatch so I used the DMV bill of sale selection and it came back as Bill of Sale Not Verified and I arrested the ped for possession of stolen vehicle. Boom! No more ambiguity.

I am working on another huge update that will bring more immersion to this mod and LSPDFR. It’s going to take a while but hopefully it’ll be sooner than later. I also want to note that I like hearing about people’s patrols. So, feel free to drop a few paragraphs about your patrols because I really love reading about them.

I’m Playing as detective in liberty city I don’t need to rely on call-outs if I see something surprising I start my investigation into the event. There is a few props that I also added to my game to help with your mod like camera and kneeling down to investigate I also would love to interview suspects and determine if you are taken back to the station or released and questioned later

Would be nice that when the call for investigation has ended, the police officer who is on scene drives away with his patrol car, i have to delete the car and dismiss the cop everytime.

I made it so you drive off and the officer stays behind to correct traffic and pick up debris. As you drive away to the station or your next point thereby hitting the end key and he deletes out of world so it doesn’t bloat the world. But if it’s bothersome and you want to see a cop drive away I can later change it.

In real life the detective leaves the scene so I wanted to give it that vibe. I show up conduct investigation, then call coroner and when the body is removed I get in and leave and when the scene is out of view I hit the end key and it cleans up the mods contents but giving that feel that the officer on scene is getting traffic back in order and the roadway clear of debris.

@Mathox I have two updates I am working on currently

  1. Getting the Case Tracker stable

  2. Making another DMV option specifically for the Accident investigation spawned by Start Investigation where you RP you got a color of the vehicle and model and then a yellow circle radius displays when you open your map to go look for the vehicle that hit the ped.

I don't always find the evidence through direct witness statement saying they saw the car. Sometimes, I have an anonymous tip and investigate peds until I find the perp.

@JhnDoe Cool. I been thinking it would be nice to add more different evidence for homicide (strangulation, beaten up to death, stabbing ect...) and evidences or reasons of why the person was killed (paid to kill, kidnapping, conflict, hate, sudden passion, domestic violence). Could help to determine if the homicide is a capital murder, first degree or second degree murder or a voluntary manslaughter.

Make it more like rockstar la noire where you can interview witnesses on scene or back at the station you can have a separate menu for witnesses like when did you last see the victim, did the victim owe money to someone,how do you know the victim,do you own a gun,etc at the end you can either arrest the witness or re interview at later date after more evidence points to the witness

If you're free for ideas is there a way that you can have the DMV database to show pictures of the vehicle for the incident search, that way you don't have to look it up on your phone separate as soon as the make and model come out the picture will pop up of the car. GREAT JOB

I'm assuming the INI file goes in scripts folder as well? directions say drop script folder into GTA5 directory however the INI isn't in folder or no instruction as to where it goes or why it wouldn't be in the scripts folder if that's the case, I have installed it both places and can't get it to work
