San Andreas Highway Patrol (SAHP) [Add-on | Lore-Friendly] 1.0.0

(1 review)

12 Screenshots

Hey guys, this is my own take on a lore-friendly San Andreas Highway Patrol, which goes along nicely with 11john11's new SA Policing Overhaul

This pack includes 9 vehicles with different lighting setups (slicktop, Liberty, Vector) as well as black/white and polar bear liveries. All of the vehicles have custom-made assets and an optional file for steady-burns is included.

One more thing to say: This is in no way supposed to be a 1:1 faithful recreation of the CHP. I just wanted to do something I think R* would've added as an agency with my own little twist on it.

Vehicles:
SAHP Stanier - hwaycar
SAHP Stanier (Old) - hwaycarold
SAHP Buffalo SX - hwaycar2

SAHP Bison - hwaycar6

Weapon Limit Adjuster is required for this pack to work.

Installation:
1. Start OpenIV.
2. Navigate to the mods folder
4. Move the provided folder (hwaycops folder) inside:

mods/update/x64/dlcpacks

5. Locate 'dlclist.xml':

mods/update/update.rpf/common/data
6. Open it and add the following line to the bottom:

dlcpacks:\hwaycops\

7. If done correctly, the mod should be ready to use.

Awesome Pack, Happy to see someone put all of the newer versions of SAHP vanilla friendly vehicles into a full pack, because most of the one available are individual  vehicles. Nice work!

Any plans on updating the shaders? Kind of jarring to see 11john11's vehicles having them and then these still using the old ones without modifying the game's visualsettings

I used to use all real life cars but I have had far more enjoyment using upgraded lore vehicles with DLS lighting. I love that you included the CHP vapid with the early 2000's rotators. Its a fun car to use, I also like using the CHP landroamer with the same light bar. You should add it to this pack. It was in the JASAHP pack that I have been using for several years.

Hey, I'm new to LSPDFR is this compatible with it? If so how do I stop my game from crashing?

Sadly the new shaders don't work on my editing software. The new shaders are somewhat of a double-edged sword anyway - most people don't know they exist and I'd rather not troubleshoot all those people in editing their visual files.

Get Heap Limit Adjuster and a custom Game config from GTA5mods.com if you haven't already

Just a question, when editing the .xml do I put dlcpacks:\hwaycops\ with the other dlcpacks or do I put it below all the existing text?

Also do I format it like the others (eg. <item><item>?

Sorry for the late reply, just copy the strucutre of the other dlcpacks and put it at the bottom

For some reason my game crashes whenever I spawn hwaycar5, this is the only car it happens with. Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

Hello, this pack was the cause of crashing whenever I spawn or approach Sandy Shores. Even happens when I'm off duty. Any ideas as to circumvent this, I really like this pack.

How do the new shaders work? I'm trying to update the graphics on some old vehicles I have and not sure how to get it to work.

Hey! Very nice pack, but I have one question.. How to I make them spawn as highway patrol whenever I call for backup? I have 11Johns SAPO installed and whenever I call for backup in the state juristriction or call for a CVE unit, the Police3 arrives instead of one of the vehicles from this pack.

Another request.. my Discord account was hacked a few months back, and unfortunately, I got banned from yalls discord server. Is it possible to get unbanned again? My user is: lyrix._5

Thank you!
