O.D.A.S

The Officer Discharge Alert System is an immersive and realistic mod for LSPDFR that enhances the gameplay experience for players simulating law enforcement duties. This system mimics real-life firearm discharge alert systems used in police departments to improve situational awareness and officer accountability. The mod automatically triggers an alert whenever the player (officer) fires their issued service weapon.

ODAS now features four unique sound files that are triggered as soon as the system detects a firearm discharge.

These sounds are recorded from an active, real-world police radio system.

Who do you want by your side when things get messy? Local units, NOOSE, EMS, or firefighters – the choice is yours.

From backup delays to unit preferences and response codes, tailor ODAS to fit your needs.

Oh, and almost forgot – you can set cooldown times, quickly toggle ODAS, and even manage alert sounds!

What's New in Version 1.5.2 [TE]

Released

Update notes & Information

This is a minor patch that is not mandatory to install but is highly recommended. It includes improvements and bug fixes that enhance the overall performance and user experience. Installing this update ensures that you are up to date with the latest improvements.

New Features and Enhancements:

  • Added an option to customize the menu key (can be changed directly in the menu, and this is the only recommended method).
  • Added a separate sound file folder (sound files are no longer stored in the resident folder).
  • Encourage users to modify the sound files (edit or replace them as much as you like, although the original files work great with Blueline).

Improvements:

  • Fixed some minor problems with spawning backups.
  • Fixed the assembly version showing 1.0.0 instead of 1.5.X (Thanks Michael21107)
  • Added trademark notice and updated EULA.

Short Description

It currently does not call for backup. However, in a forthcoming update, scheduled for release in the next few days, the system will automatically request backup if the officer fails to respond to dispatch. 😀

Is this any different than deadly weapons?

Hi!

I wasn’t familiar with Dead Weapons, but there are a few minor differences. ODAS does not include a damage tracker or rely on PyroCommon dependencies. Additionally, it features authentic audio files sourced from real police radio. ODAS is also a newer system and will be integrated with other commonly used plugins. Such as Stp, Utp and etc. I'm still exploring the full potential of the system.

It also integrates with Blåljus Dispatch. 🙂

There is nothing suspicious about this file. LCPDFR has scanned it through VirusTotal, and there were no indications of malware. The picture below shows the scan results from VirusTotal, where the file was checked by Acronis (Static ML), AliCloud Antiy-AVL, Avast, Avira (no cloud), BitDefender, CMC, CTX, and DeepInstinct, with no positive alerts. Your antivirus is likely reporting a false positive.

I totally understand, and I appreciate you informing me about this. I'll check my code and make adjustments in a later update to help mitigate this false-positive issue. 🙂

Is it possible to change the backup units from swat to just patrol units? I see the config file but idk what I'd put the Backupcode line.

Can we add more than one unit in the config? Swat gets boring. Thanks.

Hey! I'll definitely look into that. Adding more units for responding and more types of units - emt, tactical forces, military, etc. might be something for v1.5, along with the ability to customize loadouts in more depth and control how the backup units behave. Currently, v1.4 is pending approval, but it will allow you to adds AirUnit, also some other customizations that might keep you interested until v1.5 is ready. Thanks for the comment😀

would be nice if you could also set how far away the backup units are,

so that they don't always appear immediately

Hey Jordan!

I was doing a mod review on this and found that it was crashing my game because it was struggling to find a cop who was readily active to respond to my ODAS call.

Not sure if it's a problem on my end, but my game crashes when it is halfway through the sound that plays when your gun is pulled out.

Thanks for letting me know! I’ve received a few reports about crashes for v1.4, particularly during the reques func. I’m currently looking into it and will be releasing a hotfix soon. Stay tuned!

This is an issue with v1.4, the mod is trying to look for an ambient police car instead of spawning a new one.

Hey, Im not sure if youve fixed it yet, and its just me, or if your still trying to fix the game crashing, mid way through the audio.
