Realistic Vehicle Light Malfunctions 1.2.2

(1 review)

1 Screenshot

Realistic Vehicle Light Malfuntions makes LSPDFR player's games more immersive with a small detail. In this script AI vehicles have a
chance of spawning with 1 of the following, blown headlight bulb, blinker, or a tail light! You can fully customize the probability
in the .ini file! By default it is set to "2". You can set it anywhere from 0-100. I Hope you guys enjoy!

Dude! You're on a roll. I was actually thinking last night while I was playing that I never ever give citations for headlights or get vehicle stops for this very reason alone. Going in my game files now. I'll run my game for a few hours and see if everything goes well.

This is good intent but there two problems, one most the cars having the broken headlight problem get they windshield busted too and two this script affected emergency vehicles also, i was in a traffic stop and suddently the headlight and winshield of my patrol car broke.

Once this is patched, I will certainly be downloading this.

I looked into what you're talking about and it doesn't look like it's from this mod. It's either something to do with a mod you have or a vehicle you have downloaded. It really sounds like our mod is conflicting with another mod you have.

That could be the problem is RDE. It might not be compatible. No one else who has tried the script has had the problem you're having..

Hello everyone, I have the same problem and don't use RDE. The windshields in the immediate area are constantly breaking - which I wouldn't mind as it is another reason to fill out a ticket, but this happens too often and also on my and other police vehicles. If that can be corrected, then that is a TOP expansion.

Will definitely look into it at some point today!

I like the idea of having random vehicles having some issues. I think this can get better.

suggestion, if not in there yet

  • Crack windshields
  • smog vehicles from muffer
  • smoking from the engine
  • broken side mirrors
  • falling front and/or rear bumper
  • etc....

I think this plugin is going to be great.

Same thing here,  almost every single car you go past the windshield smashes itself out,  parked cars or moving cars

Sweet.

I’d like to see an event with ped damaging/attacking (perhaps with an offensive weapon)  parked vehicle.

Also make sure you’re accounting for vehicles/entities going invalid to prevent crashes if you haven’t already. It’s a big problem with the game.

Hey I haven't been able to find any vehicles with these issues. I might have installed it wrong but I followed directions listed.

I did have to make a scripts folder.

Change the Tick Changer in the INI to 300 and probability to 2%

Correct lol, put that there so people that don't know what they are doing so they dont mess up anything. This changes the amount of vehicles it can affect 2% its likely to affect 2-3 vehicles every 5 minutes if tick counter is set to 300 seconds

It might be a lot to ask but is it possible to instead of putting exempt names of the vehicles from having light malfunction, that the script detect any emergency vehicles. I'm asking this because i have a lot of addon vehicles.

Also i might be nice to add windshield malfuction script.

Ill add that in the update!

What do you mean "windshield malfuction script"? Like give me a understanding of what it would do

Pretty cool script, but I have more than 50 police vehicles installed and I would love a way to exclude all emergency vehicles at the ExcludedVehicles ini option.
