PistolRedirect is a ScriptHookVDotNet mod for GTA V that forces the player to switch to a pistol whenever a non-pistol weapon is selected, while still allowing the player to use fists. It also automatically removes any modifications (such as suppressors or extended clips) from the pistol to keep it in its default state.

Features

Automatically switches any non-pistol weapon to a pistol, unless fists are selected.
Removes any attachments or modifications (e.g., suppressors, extended clips) from the pistol.
Maintains balanced gameplay by restricting the player to pistols only.

Installation

Make sure ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet are installed.
Download and install LemonUI for proper mod functionality.
Place both PistolRedirect.dll and PistolRedirect.pdb into your scripts folder in your GTA V directory.

Usage

The mod automatically switches you to the default pistol when any non-pistol weapon is selected.
You are still able to select your fists.
Any modifications (such as extended clips or suppressors) on the pistol will be automatically removed.

What's New in PistolRedirect v2.0

New Features and Improvements:

INI Support Added: You can now customize which pistols the mod allows by editing the PistolRedirect.ini file. This provides full control over which weapons are treated as pistols in the game.

How to Use the New INI Feature:

Open the PistolRedirect.ini file located in your scripts folder.
Set true or false for each pistol in the list to specify which pistols the mod should allow.
By default, all pistols are enabled.

Enjoy the new flexibility and customization in version 2.0!

I think they're talking about practicality. Definitely commend anyone pumping out mods and plugins for LSPDFR as it keeps it alive. But with this, you have to ask why? Especially when this mod would "break" the "spirit" of LSPDFR. It nullifies the point of having a taser or grabbing a shotgun/AR out of the patrol cruiser. As the previous commenter mentioned, I don't think we can see a "point" to this mod. Sure it may work, but to what end? What problem does this solve or how does it add to the gameplay? It seems like for most players this would be more of an annoyance being limited to just a pistol and fists, and doesn't take into account what LSPDFR has to offer in terms of realism.
