For me, 8K doesn't cause major problems for the first few tens of minutes. 😉 This is so that you can decide what resolution you want to play with as you can always reduce it.

I assumed so lmao, I try anything 4K for more than 3 cars and my game decides to commit toaster-bath

The only prudent move in case you want to use 4K and 8K textures would be change Texture Quality in the game to Normal.
