Updated information and plans

What's New in Version 2.0

Released

Finally! Release 2.0 is here! This update addresses the problems you have reported and adds new content!

Here are the changes:

  • Resolved most of the crashes.

  • Is now compatible with the latest LSPDFR and RPH versions

  • Rewrote callout messages to be more realistic and not vague. Example: "Bicycle pursuit" has become "Wanted criminal fleeing on a bicycle".

  • Added callout + 3 variations: "Stolen SUV"

  • Gang Drive-by callout should be fixed.

  • Fixed Foot Pursuit.

  • Edited Callout Probabilities to be more realistic (There are still balance issues where you can get some callouts such as Stolen SUV more frequently than others. I will try to fix it in the future.)

  • Removed the following callouts due to causing too many problems:
  1. Stolen Police Bike
  2. Armed Faggio Pursuit

  • Content Update! Added the following callouts:
  1. Stolen Tow Truck
  2. Utility Truck Hijacked
  3. Person fleeing on a mower
  4. Scrap Truck illegally circulating
  5. Stolen Promo Car
  6. Person Impersonating Patrol Officer
  7. Luxury Vehicle Stolen from Important Person
  8. Missing High Value Old Vehicle Spotted

Please report any issues you find!

When I add this the my game for some reason Stop The Ped & Ultimate Backup stops working 😞

It may be because of Rockstar's latest game update. Are you sure you have the latest Scripthook v, Rage Plugin Hook and LSPDFR versions?

Well, thanks for reporting. I think I know what may cause it. However, new updates will probably arrive after 18th of June as I'm a bit busy now.

Completely out of interest, why are you depending on SHVDN and SHV? There's very little (if anything) that SHV/SHVDN can achieve that LSPDFR cannot. I've had multiple support requests from people using this pack having issues due to the lack of SHVDN. Of course, that is their doing because it is listed as a dependency, but I just wanted to ask why you're referencing these libraries which shouldn't be required in an LSPDFR plugin.

SHVDN and SHV are needed for the ini file to work.

No - they aren't. You can use the Rage.InitializationFile in RPH to do this.

Well, that’s the way i got it to work. Maybe in a future update I will try to do it the way you suggested so it wont need those 2

Tip for next time you update this plugin:
Instead of using ScriptSettings from SHVDN, you can use the InitializationFile class from RAGE Plugin Hook, this minimizes dependencies and allows it to be used even when ScriptHookV isn't updated.

I've already taken the liberty of converting your code for you:

var iniFile = new InitializationFile("PursuitPack.ini");
var flag1 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Stockade", true);
var flag2 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Vehicle", true);
var flag3 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Drive By", true);
var flag4 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Motorcycle Pursuit", true);
var flag5 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "High Speed Car Chase", true);
var flag6 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Wanted Criminal In Car", true);
var flag7 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Foot Pursuit", true);
var flag8 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Bicycle Pursuit", true);
var flag9 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Faggio Pursuit", true);
var flag10 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Armed Faggio Pursuit", true);
var flag11 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Police Car Stolen", true);
var flag12 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Ambulance Stolen", true);
var flag13 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Fire Truck", true);
var flag14 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Low Value Car Stolen", true);
var flag15 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Racing Car", true);
var flag16 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Truck Pursuit", true);
var flag17 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Garbage Truck Pursuit", true);
var flag18 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Tank Pursuit", true);
var flag19 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Bus", true);
var flag20 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Taxi", true);
var flag21 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Dump", true);
var flag22 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Monster Truck Rampage", true);
var flag23 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Military Insurgent", true);
var flag24 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Police Bike", true);
var flag25 = iniFile.ReadBoolean("Options", "Stolen Tractor", true);

You're welcome.

I would highly suggest you do this. Loading ScriptHookVDotNet into the RPH AppDomain isn't a very good idea. Somebody has kindly sorted out converting your code for you. It's a relatively simple change, but will go a long way. A little while back, I teamed up with a couple of other developers to create a "base LSPDFR plugin repository" for you to reference from. Feel free to use this code as an example, in expansion to what has been posted above: https://github.com/thatmaxplayle/LSPDFRBasePlugin/blob/master/LspdfrBasePlugin/Settings.cs

If you do implement any of this code, please however credit myself and Rich.

Thanks for your suggestions and code. Be sure that if I use the code I will credit both of you!

Just wanted to let you know for some reason the pack doesn't work with grammar police/Immersive Dispatch. But it sounds cool and I can't wait to try it.

Maybe I’ll add support for grammar police in the future!

Hi,

It could just be me - or maybe other mods I have installed. Especially if nobody else is seeing this.
When I get a chance I will strip everything out and try the pack with just LSPDFR and no other mods or callout packs.

No, I'm almost certain it's from my pack, because the script for that callout spawns a random ped into the car, so it may have picked a police officer model to spawn. I don't really know how to prevent this, but I'll try when I start working on this mod again.

I think its this mod but EVERY time there is a garbage truck driving normally and i drive near it, its a pursuit. Every single time. Can you stop that from occurring?

Thanks for reporting! I don’t really know if it’s the case for this mod, because it only spawns pursuits in form of callouts, not by drivint near vehicles. Can you send me the rph log?

Actually United Callouts also has a stolen emergency vehicle callout and another callout pack has one, as I also had this same problem.

One question comes to mind, where exactly would the stolen tank pursuit be initiated? I thought Fort Zancudo but haven't been out there yet.
